I'm on the meds, had to go to the doc twice so far because of this. The good news is that I am showing improvement as my cough is immensely better now.
However,
I have a pain in my lower right lung that stops me from taking full breaths. The result is me feeling faint just going up 10 stairs or standing too long. It also means I can only sleep in a very limited way. Any pressure on my right side combined with air in the lung leads to me hitting pain levels that actually cause me to yelp. I'd say it hurts just as bad as purposefully bending a badly sprained ankle just to see how bad it can hurt. Needless to say that only being able to sleep in 1 position on my bed without pain made me go sleep on the couch instead.
Yesterday turned out to be a little scary. I was coughing up red sputum/blood which brought me to the doctor again. When I arrived they decided to take a chest x-ray to make sure I didn't develop any tumors or something serious. It appears the blood/red sputum is just my lung/bronchial tubes being damaged from the days and days of really harsh coughing.
I've also lost 12 pounds in last 2 weeks from this illness, I know it's all muscle so when I go back to the gym eventually I know it's going to be really hard :( I'm pale but nothing is blue or purple so my body is still getting enough oxygen, even if I feel like I'm short of breath about 50% of the time.
I wanted to come to seattle this saturday for a visit, but I can't trust myself to drive that far in this condition :( I haven't even left my house except to go to the doctors since monday.
