Basking in the afterglow
so...it is the day after Christmas...and I don't know if I am ready to write in depth about the holiday yet but I wanted to publicly say that I have the best family ever!!!!!! My new family (5 adults 2 children (you know who they are **grin**)) made this possibly the best Christmas I have ever had. Certainly the best since I moved to Minnesota. It wasn't the gifts I got, which were fabulous, and it wasn't the gifts i gave, which was my pleasure, it was just the unquestioned feeling of being where I belonged with ALL of the people that I belong there. It was watching two four year olds be overjoyed with gifts, it was waking up this morning to go to work and seeing the wreckage of our house and knowing that when I get home, someone will have gotten it in hand.
I peeked in on the girls this morning as I left and they were laying curled up together, sticky hands clasped together twined around each other and I think that was the best present of all, knowing my daughter has her sist (her word)
