i'm posting!
I finally did it, and I survived. I went on my first trip alone to New York city. Well, I went with a friend, but alone as in no family, no staying in hotels, pretty much roughing it. Urban camping if you will. It was fun, probably the highlight of an otherwise pretty dull summer, although I think I'd like to stay in a hotel or at least an apartment with air conditioning next time. And as much fun as I have visiting, I know I would never want to live there and am glad I'm going to school in Chicago instead of New York.
Oh yeah, I went to Chicago last week for orientation and stuff. It was kind of exciting. And overwhelming. I don't think I'm ever going to graduate. I'm definitely going to have to do summer school. But I have a single dorm room, so that's a plus.
Yep, that's about it. Still seems like this summer has been flying by. I leave for school in about three and a half weeks. Don't know if I'm ready, but I guess it's now or never.
