[And at some point, Rogue is running through the house with this on, trying to beat some sense into her hair which for some reason has decided it wanted to be curly today. But when Kurt gets there, she'll stop, breathless, with a small smile on her face.]

[Okay. Who are you and what have you done with this sister? He blinks in surprise, a little dumbstruck that she'd ask him that of all things. But he quickly recovers, because today is all about him making girls feel appreciated.]

Well ah, you look great. Are you going somewhere?

[Look at that face, Kurt. Look at it. Can you bear to be the practical one here and bring up any one of a thousand perfectly legitimate concerns that will bring it crashing down?]

[He knows something is so very wrong here. On one hand, it's really nice to see Rogue this happy. Legitimately happy. But that just solidifies the feeling that this is wrong. This is just sad. He really wishes he could just smile and wish her off. He's tempted to do that anyway.]

[Prepare yourself, because that sounds almost suspiciously like a giggle. It's not, of course. It's cut off too quickly for that, but her smile isn't - it just takes on a tinge of mischief.]

Uh, yeah. Sure. Don't you think it's a little weird... to be just going out on a date like this?

Why would it be weird? Because it's Valentine's Day and someone actually wanted to spend it with me?

[OK, forget it. That is weird. And that makes her angry.]

You know what? Just forget it. [And she starts to storm off towards her room, because it is weird - it's horrible and wrong and she shouldn't be doing it, she shouldn't be getting her hopes up, this kind of thing isn't meant for someone like her, even if she really, really wants it to be - she should call him over the journals right now and tell him to forget it too.]

[When she storms off, he 'ports and reappears in her path, blocking her from her room.]
