RIP Kurt Vonnegut (November 11, 1922-April 12, 2007)
"...when a person dies he only appears to die...he is still very much alive in the past...all moments, past, present, and future, always have existed, always will exist..."
-Slaughterhouse-Five
So it goes...
This guy was crazy...he survived the bombing of Dresden, one of five survivors, survived a suicide attempt, dealt with his mother's suicide...and after all that, he falls, and dies from severe brain injury.
...Wow...
I'm glad I chose him as my YAY author. He's a really amazing writer, and I'm glad I actually chose to read for these projects. Luckily, I chose an author that I enjoy, and now the reading isn't really a chore anymore. I actually enjoy his books.
"If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph:
THE ONLY PROOF HE NEEDED
FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD
WAS MUSIC"
