I'm all happy today. Work was amazing, I was practicing the mandate laid down by Diane, and it was working! I was very pleased. I even had enough time to reply to an LJ at work! Then I got home.
They gave her a week. My grandmother has a week according to the doctors.
Oh boy.
See, I have lost a fair share of people in my life, but not a blood relative (at least not one that I can remember). I'm taking this amazingly poorly. I mean, badly. After losing it against my balcony door multiple times, I decided to walk it off and go see a movie at Rowland.
I get there and the only one left is Jumper. I had heard bad things overall about it, but I thought it might have enough humor and excitement to at least take my mind off things. Danielle was working the counter, and it was a pleasant sight. I don't talk to her nearly as much as I would like, for I miss our conversations about just about everything and the bluntness she brought to the table. So after a ten-minute talk (and letting me walk in for nothing, bless her heart), I strapped in...
..for crap. Seriously, Jumper isn't worth the film it was printed on. A little bit of humor (from that kid in Billy Elliot and that Green Day video), but devoid of any "cool" moments, or even decent story. AND WHAT THE FUCK WAS DIANE LANE DOING IN THIS? Not like she's the best actress in the world, but she can do it. Also, don't say "Diane Lane? Why was Sam Jackson in this?" He's in everything. He's the black Michael Caine.
After the movie, I milled around a little bit, saw Danielle again and Jeremy (rocking the All Blacks tie, very stylish), talked a little bit more, acquired her phone number again (the last one to get back from my kiddie phone blow up), and headed home.
And now I am here, and just tired. So, off to bed. This week is gonna be a long one.
Night, people. Remember to hug a loved one tonight.
