I wonder when, what age or time, we are not going to have to play games to build a relationship, you know?

I say this because there are all these unspoken but vastly assumed rules that dictate the beginnings of a relationship. Things like sustaining feigned ignorance, or using playful language and cryptic metaphors. My friend Adam calls it "Building the Mystery" and I think that is one of the most adequate monikers that anyone has ever called it.

Why can't we just out and say it? Is that too romantic? Maybe I am just too impatient, but I can recall breaking one of these rules and subsequently wasting my time for months and months waiting on a prospect that would never happen.

I feel so much more aggressive this time around, but I also have to temper it with prudence. Even when I am absolutely certain of the details... and ugh. whatever, haha.

I can't exactly say I am frustrated, I'm the opposite. I am just blissfully impatient for things to begin.
