I love talking to Kim at work about college. She goes on and on about how "pointless" it is and she talked about how she was working on her accounting degree, but she quit because there's no point in getting your bachelor's in accounting if you don't keep going for another 2 years so you can get become a CPA. "And if I'm gonna be in school for that long, I might as well become a lawyer and make way more than an accountant." I really should've told her "Yeah, and you didn't do either."
I finally got snippy with her when she said, "So when someone asks you what you did with your life, you're gonna say 'went to school'? All you end up with is a bunch of useless degrees" And I said, "Yeah, but it's better than no degree at all."
Sigh. I love people with little schooling who try to devalue college.
