He kept it quiet. Wise beyond his years, he already knew that speaking of people nobody else could see or hear could easily get you send to the mad house. Instead, he spent hours talking to his sister, reassuring her. The more time he spent with a ghost, the more his powers grew until his sister's shape seemed solid to him, until the shape of the other shadows had become something more human and he realised that he had a gift.

During his teens, he found himself labelled a dreamer and good-for-nothing. He'd stopped taking on work or being useful to his parents in order to focus completely on running messages back and forth between ghosts and normal humans. He did it secretly, popping little pieces of paper onto people's windowsills, slipping lost objects under doors and breaking into a house once a week to renew flowers for a woman on her dead husband's orders.

He left as soon as he was big enough to wield his older brother's hand-me-down spear. He had no reason to leave, but no particular need nor desire to stay either. He broke his first spear a few weeks in, but has since bought himself a new one from a blacksmith on the road. He spends most of his time alone, but often drifts into groups, Bri by his side often, but more content to warp back home and pretend she's still part of the family. If it's a lonely existence, he doesn't show any signs of being lonely.

He's picked up more than enough skills on the road to defend himself against common bandits. Enough too, to defend your common and garden village against quite a few common and garden threats. So when he was roped in to a village for his "own safety" by guards sent by the local duke, he rolled his eyes and just walked out the front gate, along with a fellow traveller. He and the other man found themselves being confronted by a dragon (I shit you not) who'd been terrorising the village.

Ah. That'd been the reason why they were roped in.

So the dragon thought he'd been sent lunch. Ky and Ali corrected that forcefully, and the villagers had dragon burgers for many weeks to come.

After that, they continued travelling together. They were going the same way and at the same speed. It made sense, and it was a good combination.

Well, until Ali dozed off and woke up here.

Skills: He's smart. He can play the piano. He can fight with a spear, which he has named Brionac. His magical ability manifests itself in resistance to and the ability to manipulate fire and small explosions. On ship, fire will actually burn him again (fuck his life) and his explosions will be nothing but small light displays. He can jump high and has a lot of endurance. Fuck if that'll do him any good here.

He can, if he tries very hard, hold a seance to speak with someone who has already passed over. On this ship though, the effort will probably knock him unconscious for days.

OH RIGHT and he can probably do something similar to a limit break since green is a final fantasy hooker.
