And here's some weird cake that Roommate!Liz gave me. It looks like wood if you cut it at an angle:


Of note, Sara admits that she would let me eat plywood. What a pal.

Also, am totally in love with Ben Folds Five all of a sudden. Very much rocking out on: The Last Polka, Philosophy, and Best Imitation of Myself. But mostly Last Polka.

EDIT: Really enjoying Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell. Yes, I know, I'm about 16 months behind on it being new news that this is a good book. Regardless, I really like it and suggest picking it up if you're okay with slogging through some dense footnotes and weird social ladder-climbing a la Austen & those Bronte ladies. Much more enjoyable than all that, though! I promise! A rolicking good time with magic is to be had by all. Except maybe Mr Norell who, it is widely believed, is religiously opposed to fun.
