mock interviews and death cab
i wonder sometimes, are people who conduct mock interviews there to pump you up? that is, how much honest feedback are they really giving? i just feel like after spending 45 minutes with someone and trying to develop some rapport with her, it's easier for her to just point out all the good things and sort of gloss over the bad things. it's so much easier to tell people what they want to hear, instead of what they need to hear.
nevermind, i finally got the new death cab cd! and it's great! since i didn't get back from school until 8:30 last night, i was too tired to go to target where it was selling for only $9.98. plus, i love target and wanted to walk through all the aisles like i usually do. so i go today after class and they're sold out! now, i'm happy that death cab is doing well and other people like them too, but really, it was a little astounding to me that it sold out. so like a quasi-true fan (not a true fan b/c i should have gotten it yesterday), i drive to another target and finally snag the 2nd to last copy on the shelf :) happiness ensues...
