I Dream of Fordie

I just got done watching the new episode of "American Dreams," with no commercial interruption thanks to Ford. In lieu of commercials, we were treated to a 5 minute mini-movie about a soldier returning from Iraq, talking about his dad's old Mustang that his father got when he came back from Vietnam. So, the dad gave the son his OWN Mustang. But, not a cool old mustang, one of the shitty new Mustangs.

And then, "for your service, you have our gratitude. FORD."

This movie, I don't even know where to begin. It was so wishy washy and bullshit it offended me. If I had been in the war and came home to see this commercial, I would be even more offended. I mean, I know companies really don't value us as people, they just want our money...but to make it so fucking blatant is unbelievable. There's a lot of money to be made on this war, and Ford is right up there with Cheney trying to capitalize as much as they can.
