I have not posted since 2005...It is now 2011
We flash six years forward into the future.
Cannot believe some of the battles and wars I was having with ppl back then...at the fresh age of 21 and 22.
My thoughts were as articulate as they could be, it amazed me, I had almost forgotten the way I felt about Mexico, Nicole, my friends...but one thing remained the same....
Angelina and having 3 jobs!!!!
Of course I no longer work at SXU, Home Depot and Oakbrook....
Now I am at Hickory Hills PD, DePaul PS, and Bridgeview EMA....
I now have a son on the way, named Adrian....another afro-latin mix....
I am in grad school, attempting to understand grandiose terminology, concepts, methods, ideologies...
I love the teachings of Michael Foucault.
Currently my professors at DePaul are truly helpful in my understanding. I appreciate the likes of Ada Cheng, side note (who would've thought the Prof Trillo discussed in previous entries would link me to a faculty member here at DePaul who in turn linked me to Ada to get the ball rolling with grad school, this was four years of merely working and not fulfilling a "dream" of mine to go back to school for post graduate learning), Greg Scott, Michael Bennett, and last but not very least the multi passionate and sarcastic Blackhawk Hancock.
I am still as intense as I have been, but I have slowed down, matured if you will, watch heartache after heartache burn my soul....
Watch the possibility of my futures end due to an unfortunate mistake made costing me some natural freedoms (some of you will never find out what I mean by this)...and yet I have still been moving forward.
Still having my daughter on weekends and enjoying my time with her....
Still riding my Ford Taurus dirtyyyy...
Still paranoid as ever and worse...
Still singing and dancing getting better...
Still holding my liquor (no access to mezcal, but whiskey does just fine)
Still have a badge (almost got it taken from the man along with my civil liberties...)
Still attracting some of the baddest women and it not making any sense anymore....
IM STILL GONNA GET MINE REGARDLESS....
