I haven't been home a whole lot in the past two days because we have had so much going on with band. Friday night housed our first FB game, and it started off TERRIBLY! First of all we were planning on stopping for dinner before the game. Because there are two busses one went ot BK and the bus I was on went to Wendy's. Mr. Ables didn't call ahead of time or something becasue the people working there were going like at a snails pace taking orders, so it just figues that once we're like next in line he comes in a tells us that we have to go because we're going to be late to the game. So like half of the band got food. I was so mad! Then while we're still making our way to Symerna our bus BREAKS DOWN! So yes we all have to fit on one bus...it was horrible! We finally get there and get through our first song which went surprisingly well I suddenly realize how dumb we look just standing there for the second half of our drill because the people on our band are too lazy to come to practice so that we can actully get something done! Oh yes and to top it all off Deon, our drum major, begins to direct Star Spangled Banner but doesn't say Horns UP, and half the band doesn't know that when he brings his hands up your horns go up so no one plays and after a few notes I just start playing knowing that we couldn't just stop the song. OMG it was horrible! And I really didn't think the night could get much worse. BUT surprisingly once we got up in the stands and started getting pumped for the team every thing turned around and we had a BLAST. So even though it started out rough I wouldn't say it was such a bad night.
I don't have a lot to say about UD Band day which occured on Saturday. Other then I am so tired of the cliques in our school. And I wish that guys wouldn't be considered more important then friends. And the peoples egos wouldn't lead them to bleieve that they don't have to talk to you all the time. As rough as that sounds the night wasn't that bad. The ride hoem was crazy. CJ's Thunder Sticks will never be forgotten.
Peace!
