It was great to get back to Bay Shore today for church! I haven't been for like three weeks with Chrysalis and going to my dads house. Worship was awesome as always with Coreys band playing, and the message was rather relevant. Pastor Tice talked about how as christians we aren't lions, or stalions but rather sheep, who lack any defence mechanism at all. They rely on their shepard to keep them safe, as do we on God "to lead us not into temtation but deliver us from evil" every single day of our lives. Not one person alive can make it through this world on their own. Not the most famous movie star, the star basketball player, or the pastor of your church. I think that's the trap that so many fall into. "I am going to do this and do that becasue these are the things that make me happy." And, a week, month, or maybe the satisfaction of those choices last longer but eventually it catches up to you and you begin to wonder why you feel worthless, empty, alone when only moments before everything was going great. WE CAN'T DO IT ON OUR OWN! And the most reassuring part... The one who is in you is greater then the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4!
I was late to my Chrysalis reunion becasue I hadn't processed what time it started and left an hour late form my house...but I made it. The things that followed were awesome, but of course I can't say anything b/c many of you haven't been on Chrysalis and SHOULD GO ON CHRYSALIS and I wouldn't want to ruin it for you! ;)
