Soooo.... it's been like 3 years since my last update....
Yea... I randomly was going through my accounts and I remembered livejournal and I thought I would check that out... started reading and I was thinking to myself, no one else probably still updates this thing... ever since the Facebook and Myspace craze- why would anyone still write on livejournal? Well, to my surprise... there are still people writing on this website and I thought it'd only be appropriate to update anyone who still bothers to read these things on my life.
Wellllll.... since Sophomore year... 2006, I have:
- Started dating my current boyfriend in October of 2006, and I am still with him, now for 3 years and very happy...
- Graduated from Sacred Heart University in May with a BS in Athletic Training and a minor in Psychology
- Took my BOC's (Board of Certfication-- aka the Board exam to become a Certified Athletic Trainer and be able to practice)... passed those :)
- Worked the last 4 summers with my dad's company doing Plumbing and Heating with some remodeling work here and there
- My brother moved out of the house and bought his own house in town and has been renovating it ever since
- I got a job @ CCSU as an Athletic Trainer for the school year of 2008-09. I'm assigned to the volleyball team right now for the Fall and I love what I do... the girls are great and I really love my profession... but the "boss" and the other staff are just "eh" and I'm not really crazy out CCSU's AT program... so in a way I'm happy I only took the job for the one year position
- I'm currently taking an EMT class through CCSU so I can hopefully add to my scope of practice
- Everything at home has gotten a lot better since my early college days... the family is doing relatively well... Dad is clean and sober now for almost 2 years which is awesome....
- On the sadder side of things, my grandfather just passed-- to make a long story short he suffered for a while and an unexpected fall lead him to the hospital where he has brain bleeding and we had to remove him from life support
In other news though, not too much has changed with my life since Sophomore Year... just a bit older-- oh yea I'm 21 now and it doesn't make a difference really, but now I can drink legally...
