My weekend was too perfect for words. Maybe some of our (mostly Skot's) pictures will do it justice...
Skot and I started by driving to Bennington VT on Saturday to meet Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson from the show Ghost Hunters.
From Rutland to Bennington was only about an hour drive and it was oh so beautiful.
Skot and I both got to meet and briefly talk with both Jason and Grant.
After we got our pictures and autographs with the Ghost Hunters I decided it was a perfect day to show Skot a place called Hogback Mountain which is located between Bennington and Brattleboro VT. Hogback is most well known for its 100 mile view of nothing but mountains. If you ask me its a picture perfect example of Mother Earth at her finest!
Skot was able to get some great photos to put on his deviantart.com account:
You can view more of the

We had a wonderful time visiting Hogback Mountain. I think Skot especially enjoy the free wine tasting!!!
Since Hogback is so closely located to Brattleboro there was one other place I had in mind to show Skot.
Along our travels we discovered the welcoming feel the town of Wilmington offered. Or maybe it was just the size of the tavern!
We traveled through many small towns that would eventually lead us to our next destination.
Our last stop was Brattleboro to visit a semi old structure; actually the remains of what was once a stucture. If you take a narrow dirt raod called Mountain Rd. and drive until you think its about time to turn around you will come upon Mme. Sherri Forest.
There is a small parking area. Park and prepare yourself to experience something truely beautiful and amazing. There is a small bridge near a pond. Carefully cross the bridge.
Take this short trail making sure you observe the beauty of the small water body to your right.
Shortly the path with fork, and you need to contine right. Shortly you will arrive at Madame Sherri's old brothel that sadly burned in the early 1960's.
These are some of our pictures from her house.
Her spiral stair case which actually was on the outside of her house.
The woods behind her house.
Skot takes a good look around and absorbs everything this powerful place has to offer.
I enjoyed a break in a lovely old arch way.
Skot walked partially up the spiral stair case, but didn't venture too far as the remains of the structure are not too sturdy looking.
We actually got to stand inside where the actual house once stood!
Again, a closer look at the lovely reamins of a spiral stair case.
And lastly, we ventured into Madame's basement.
In all of my previous visit this area has given me the creeps but none the less adds to the beauty of the structure even though some careless teens though it would be cool to vandalize it.
You can read more about the Mme. Sherri forest and the remains of her house but putting her name into google or something.
