Battle of the Bands '05

Holy Hell; I just got back from the best local show that I have ever seen. Not only did I know basically every band that played there, but they were all amazing. City of Canton: Battle of the Bands 05'; and probably the last one, I might add. Kelly's Heroes, Caplana, Icarus Collide, and Chamberlain's Charge played tonight. They were all amazing, but one stood out above them all; Chamberlain's Charge tore the living fuck out of the place. Apparently, the City of Canton doesn't approve of metal (screaming) music. Near the end of the second out of four songs that Chamberlain's Charge played, the city officials shut off the vocals for Luke's mic. Well, I told him to fuck the mic, and he said that he "can't do it." Did he do it? Shit yeah, he did it. Not only with no mic, but with my assistance. Haha. I love that kid.

Anyways, continuing on with the show. On the last song Chamberlain's Charge played, they shut off Ricky's guitars. Again, did Ricky stop playing? Hell no! Ricky just kept on going... and going... and going... Even though he had no sound coming out of the guitar, he STILL had the crowd going like crazy. This is the best part; okay? On the last song, near the beginning, I noticed a nice set of flashing lights reflecting off the back of the stage. I turn around to see a cop car sitting behind the crowd. A minute later, another cop car showed up; following another, and another, and another. Finally, I counted six cop cars. They didn't exactly storm the place, but they started controlling the crowd, and moving up to the stage to stop the band from playing. The best thing was seeing Ricky, playing guitar with a crowd of fans cheering him on as cops come up behind him. God, that was by far the BEST local show I've EVER been to.

Update again soon, Night Hoosiers.
