"In my dream there's a place without war; No more guns, no more pain, no more hurt; It's a world full of joy without sadness; People sing, people dance with all happiness;
Take me to my dream; Love is everything; Where there is no war; And the children sing; Love is all around; It's the only thing; In a dream that must come true;
In my dream there's a place where it's clear; No more waste in the air and the sea; So this place will be pure and all healthy; You can live your life in Heaven;
Take me to my dream; Love is everything; Where there is no war; And the children sing; Love is all around; It's the only thing; In a dream that must come true;
But I know it's just a dream; Will it ever change this life; Hope one day it'll turn around; Into the place that I dream about."
Hola my homies! Long time no see. My online classes took up most of my free time. Fucking losers! I know I passed Physics, thanks to my dad and I'm pretty sure I got a D in History. Dunno yet, the site is down for the day. Damn bitches.
Anywho, just got back from vacation. Logan and I flew up to Brewer, Maine to go stay with my granparents in their cabin on Brewer Lake that they rent every July. We were there the past 10 days. It was nice, with the exclusion of my grandmother constantly nagging me. It was so bad that I don't think we'll stay there as long as we did next year. I was starting to feel a little unwelcome toward the end. But something unusually interesting did happen. I had to ID a group of robbers that robbed the cabin next to us. The Penabuscot (I think that's what their name was) County Sheriffs office are a bunch of dorks. It's a good thing that I have a very good memory, or the only witness they would have had was a 39 year-old man that has the mentality equal to that of a 7 year-old. So if I disappear it's because I had to be put in the witness protection program.
But Logan had a good time. He got a 3 day fishing license so he could fish. He caught 3 "keepable" white perch, and a bunch of baby perch and stupid sunfish. We went to Bar Harbor for a day and went to Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and to the top of Cadillac Mountain (The first place the sun hits in the US every morning). It was really pretty. There was this lingering fog over the harbor the entire day that looked really cool from the top of the mountain. I'll post pictures when I get around to developing them. Maybe I'll save them and take them to Meagan for her expert photo developing at Eckerds. . .
We also spent a day at Monhegan Island (it's the place that my parents went on their honeymoon). It's very pretty, but also very resolute. I could probably handle staying there a couple of days, but definately not a whole week like my parents did. We hiked to the site of a shipwreck and spent the day sitting on the rocks and watching the waves hit them. We saw a seagull eat a crab. Then Logan gave it crackers.
We were going to go to Pemequit, Friendship, and Booth Bay, but the alternator and battery died in my grandparent's van and it had to be put in the shop for two days, so we'll just have to save it for next year.
Sorry Lee, no postcard. Money is a little tight right now. We'll budget better next year and I'll buy you two next time. :-)
Thought of the Day:
Wouldn't it be smart to make the glue on envelopes taste like chocolate?
