i really need to write in this thing more frequently. i am just too lazy to do it. lame.

well let's see. i went to new hampshire with tim a few weeks back to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. it was my first real trip to new hampshire, even though the border is only an hour away from boston. i had been before for concerts and to get my christmas tree (much less expensive then getting it around the boston area) but never really explored what the state had to offer. it was a great weekend - very relaxing and it's also nice to get out of the city every now and again. we were there for two nights and three days just taking in all the parks and hiking we could. i am totally not an outdoorsy person but it was good to get out and have a mini-vaca like that. it was completely out of my comfort zone but i think it's important to have those experiences and it was a great weekend with just the boy.

pretty new hampshire

then i went home for a weekend to watch sid while my parents went to a wedding in the poconos (which is yes, in pennsylvania even though marie and i swear it has to be a tropical island). marie, sarah and i enjoyed my parents' new hot tub and the stocked kitchen my mom left behind. i also got a dinner with jenny who i hadn't seen in months - so it was nice to play catch up and finally get my birthday present! during lunch we also spotted nicole's younger brother which was really bizarre because i hadn't seen him in about 3 years and he looked completely different. it's strange how that happens to boys. i almost didn't recognize him!

sarah, marie and i also went and saw madonna last week which was a giant dance party. it was also the day news of her divorce broke so there were reporters everywhere. but regardless, she still put on an amazing show and made no real mention of the divorce. i still can not believe that the woman is 50 years old. she was jumping rope on stage! and not even regular rope - she was doing double dutch. DOUBLE DUTCH! and she was dancing her ass off for two hours straight. i mean it was honestly really impressive. plus it was very evident that a lot of thought was put into her show and i appreciated that. but at the core - madonna was born to entertain and her show was a blast.

then this past weekend a few of us headed out to waltham to celebrate steph's birthday. she was trashed and having a blast which was awesome. i didn't really like the bar we ended up going to but rich showed up and i hadn't seen him since he got fired from paragon - so it was awesome to hang with him again. plus marie was a dancing machine, which was just cracking me up.

and that has been my life in the month of october.
