..you and I grammatically don't work good, but its true, we bleed the same...
What are the pros of getting a paid account? It seems every second person has one but I can't tell if its worth it or they just have mad computer skillz. I suppose there's no point until I become more.....able at LJ. It infuriates me how I'm our computer expert in my group of friends/family but EVERY SINGLE PERSON on LJ far outstrips me.
Had my interview at TVNZ yesterday, felt very swish. I think I nailed it, Broadcasting School here I come! It'll be freaky moving down to Christchurch where I know absolutely no one but its a beautiful city and my course is great so, hey, win/win.
During my interview they asked me about what I did in my spare time, I said I wrote and then they asked for examples. I told them about one of my scripts and they seemed to like it. Trouble is, I immediately felt guilty cause that script has been sitting there unfinished for about three years now. I have this damn nack of leaving everything half done. I MUST remedy this! I have also signed up to NaNoWriMo and I'm determined to actually shape something legit. For the past, shrug, 10 months I've had these characters floating around in my brain doing various things at various times but I haven't found a concept that has clicked as of yet so the whole project is sort of......melting away, and I'm determined not to let that happen.
So, upon graduation in three weeks and aside from getting a summer job, my holiday mish will be to get stuck into this story and then finish at least one pilot script. Or at least finish something...anything! (and by something/anything I mean something/anything original, I have a tendency to fall back to fanfic when my own ideas petter out, I love fanfic but its almost cheating, writing wise).
I've been lacking in SPN reaction posts but I will say this:
Sympathy for the Devil: 7/10
Good God Y'all: 8/10
Free to be You and Me: 5/10
The End: 9/10
Fallen Idols: 6/10
I Believe the Children are the Future: 5.5/10
I don't give anything a 10 by matter of principle and so far am thinking that the first half of season 5 trumps the first half of season 4.
In other TV news: Am loving nearly every aspect of Glee, loved the fall finale of Psych (dude, badass Shawn with a gun, in a car chase, on the hood of a car.....dude!), recently watched and fell for Leverage, am looking forward to White Collar tonight and fingers crossed for Chuck to come back early. I'm also thinking of sitting down and watching Criminal Minds from the beginning....hmmmm.....
Oh, and I'm housesitting my grandparents swish house in Auckland. I've never been on my own time in the big city, always had others dragging me along. Today is going to be fun!!!!!
