Oh, a wandering he will go... a wandering he will go...

He was quickly discovering that while the frightening little girl from the day before was not correct by saying that everything was edible, she had been correct that much of it was. And Ragetti was once again starving and eyeing a very tall kumquat tree.

Now, there were smaller more easily scaled trees about. If he turned his head to the side he would see a wonderful grove of mangoes not far off, all quite ready for picking. But he gaped up at the tree of kumquats and his eye settled on the biggest kumquat that was half way to the top. Honestly, the thing was huge, twice the size of it's brethren. Biting his sunburned lips he looked around carefully and deciding that no kumquat guarding trolls were about to appear and chase his away, he walked up to the tree and jumped catching a hold of a branch.

Swinging his leg over and pulling himself into place he shimmied his way up. It was his for the taking, and nothing was going to stop him. At least that was his thought until his foot slipped and he nearly fell out of the tree entirely. With an "oof!" he clung to a thick branch and stared up wistfully at his kumquat, legs dangling just bellow the tree's leafy green cover.
