(no subject)
so yesterday was my birthday. happy birthday to me =) it was pretty cool i guess. 19 is such an uneventfull birthday, same with 20. 19 is just like... eh, 19. meanwhile, ive only been 19 for a day, and im still so caught up in the fact that next year ill be 20. thats so fucking weeeird! im old...
anyways, i got some nice gifts. my parents got me a huge balloon, a dozen pink roses, and a VCR which i asked for. my brother, who is the most amazing kid ever, got me Pulp Fiction on DVD and a bunch of new balls for my tounge ring (he got me red ones, wOOT!). then later on in the day pincus and i went shopping at the willowbrook mall, where i wasted all my money on underwear, shirts, a green<3 hoodie, an Invader Zim pillow case (ride the pig...), sneakers, and a Fall Out Boy shirt that says "Fall Out Boy is for lovers!" with a picture of Illinos on it, which excited me, cuz im gay. Buying my own birthday presents is fuuuun. Then i went out to dinner with the family, and met up with Sloane later on for coffee and a lot of talking and catching up. Sloane is a good egg. shes fun to talk to, and she listens to everything i say, which alot of people dont do =)
Today was the first day of my dental assisting job. it was pretty cool i guess. theres so much to know and memorize, just with cleaning everything, and all the instruments, and procedures and oy. i basiclly learned where everything was, and followed around the other assistant, rita, who is the coolest lady ever. she taught me how to sterilize everything, and how to use the sterilizers, how to develop x-rays, and yea. i got to actually assist! i got to use the suction thingy on people and like... help the dentist with real people! i was so impressed with myself, lol. the one dentist is pretty much a bitch, who just has her nice moments, but the other one is great, shes very laid back. so yea... it was cool. they told me to come in tomorrow, so i guess i didnt fail too badly. i get to buy colorfull scrubs tomorrow, WOO! (im a loser...)
