Just too late, seriously too late, but i've just found out the text file saved in one of my old usb devices so i'll just paste it here for back-up. Sincerely sorry for being a big tardy m(_ _)m
I'm really sorry if one of you guys, among the very few peoples who are still reading my LJ, is happened to be still waiting for my report of Misoji Anniversary in Osaka last year Oct m(_ _)m A lot of stuffs happened and my work is also killing me off everyday, so i didn't make time to do anything, although i did really, really want to write down how cute Marutan was *sobs* But there are some reports on pixiv (for example
this), and this
post of their chit-chats during the live (all Japanese though). If you can't read Japanese but still want to understand some parts, just tell me and i'll make a quick translation when i have time :p
Actually after Misoji, Marutan also held a small concert in Nagoya last week, Feb 26th, and since Nagoya is, compared to Osaka, easier to go from my place, so i didn't hesitate to attend. For the same reasons i couldn't make a detailed report right after the live, but i guess this is the last live of Marutan i can attend this year so i think i should make a quick note at least. Warning of long personal rambling and fangirling :)))
Since this was just an "utaren" (singing practicing), just like his regular uta namahousou, the concert was held in a small studio called P-Rock in Midori-ku, Nagoya; with no band, just only Marutan himself and his guitar, therefore he would sing acoustic throughout the live. Sounds sweet huh? I thought so, but not for the fact that the studio is THAT small, located in a residential area and super hard to find. Rambling starts. If you read my report of Every Smile, you should've been informed of my brilliant superb above-human sense of direction. Well, Misoji took place in a building which is 3 minute walk from the bus stop, and i desperately wandered around the place for more than 3 hours, only reached the hall right before lining time started (asking police didn't help, since the building is in a underground shopping district). This time it was even worse. I forgot to convert my e-ticket into pdf to print out, had to take the later train, and finally reached the bus stop near the studio at around 4 p.m (opening time, and the live started at 5). Google map told me it's 2 minute walk faraway, but i couldn't find it. Just wandering around and around, but find nothing look like a studio. No one was around to ask, and no detailed map on the studio homepage. To make thing better, snow started falling, and i didn't bring my umbrella along. So the miracle result was, i thought of giving up, was about to go back to the bus stop when i saw a tiny signboard says P-Rock, pointing at a small storage house-liked shed (okay a little exaggerate here, but it's literally true). God bless me, it was around 5:15, i got into the studio snow-soaked, and the ikemen staffs (including Ocha san and Ryu san) looked at me with astonished eyes. (I stopped listening to Asamack for nearly 1 year so i didn't really know these guys, just met them before at Misoji, but they seem to be popular to fans?) I got the very last back place from the stage, with completely blocked view, and missed the introduction as well as at least one song. Fabulous!! Rambling ends.
Marutan was gently scolding some guest for attaching her personal phone number in ticket application form, and sitting on a chair so that i couldn't see a thing! Fortunately a girl next to me told him that, and Ryu san gave him a guitar strap. Poor guy complained that singing and playing guitar while standing all the time would make him tired, but finally stood up. MY GOSH I FINALLY CAN SEE MEGANE HUSBANDO SO CUTE SO CUTE SO CUTE. He was wearing a blue striped T shirt (i hope it's not the one he wore in Namaragonbohori), silky hair as always, and a smile that completely melted my frozen body *rolls* But his sweat started blurring the lenses, so he said oyasumi to the glasses and took them off :((((
Since this was an utaren, Marutan brought along a chord book (hand-written? He showed it to us but like hell i could see anything), said that he would choose songs randomly, just "practice" rather than perform them, and asked people to forgive any mistakes he would make during singing. Among the songs which i could recognize, there were Bump's "Tokyo Sanka", "Kasabutabutabu", "Zero"; The Timers's "Daydream Believer"; "Umi ni Tsutta Taiyaki" (why this song lol, he seems to really love it), Kobayashi Onyx's "Sayonara Astronauts"; "Denkou Sekka" and "Mikanzen Yuusya" (not really sure, i don't remember well). As expected, although just being practicing, all the songs were really beautiful. His voice matched perfectly with guitar sound, making a rough-yet-soft heart-warming combination. Needless to say all the songs fit his voice completely, not too many high notes, and his falsetto was nicely done with not much strain. Sometimes he forgot the lyric, or couldn't keep pace with the rhythm, and just sang "nya nya nya" instead lol. Especially Daydream Believer, he often praticed this in housou long time ago, but this was the first time i listened to it live. Simply heartbreaking and beautiful. And Zero. I can't find the right word to describe, but he also sang this song at Misoji, and i seriously cried that time, felt like my heart was broken in pieces. Same for this time, both were really really touching, he sang it full of emotions, and brought tears to my eyes while couldn't help smiling looking at his face. Sounds stupid rite, sorry lol. (Fiy, this is one of the reasons why i deadly want a PSP to play Final Fantasy Reishiki, oh well, i'm playing it now :p) I guess because this time live is smaller so guest numbers is less than Misoji, making Marutan less nervous; at Misoji he sometimes still felt embarrassed and avoided looking at the guests, but this time he was able to keep smiling and looking at us like all the time. Darn it why so cute Marutan, are you really human??
During the live, he got tired and asked us for 10 minute break. Until now i could take a quick look around, and found out that although the guest number was likely around only 100 or less, but there were still a few guys. How lucky you are, husbando! To get the love of both guys and girls! At that time Marutan and the other guys walked out of the studio to learn that snow was falling like crazy. They got worried and when the live continued, a man who seemed to be the owner followed Marutan to the stage, made a quick report of the snow and traffic situation. Then he asked Marutan to shorten the live so that all the guests could safely arrive home. It couldn't be helped, so the live was decided to end 30 minutes earlier. Of course it was a pity, but Marutan didn't want his fans to get cold after all, the fans also didn't want to walk home late during the snow, and i didn't want to die of cold either (my way home is really far and quite dangerous in snow weather). After a little considering, Marutan promised to hold another live in Nagoya again to make up for it. (Don't think i can attend again though)
He was about to sing KEI's "I Love You, I Need You", but remembered that the last line of the song is "歌うからねえ聴いてって" ("I'm going to sing so please listen"), which he found really weird, so he switched to another song. I forgot to mention, a fan gave him a handmade stuffed Marucat, and another girl, saying that she came from America (i'm not sure she's American or Japanese) gave him something looks like a long glowing box (?) with weird name, and everybody including Marutan were amazed (some trending toy?). He claimed that he started to feel nervous because there was even fan from such a far place came to see him. The fans, as usual, kept cheering him "まるたん頑張って" and he replied nervously "お、お爺さん頑張る・・・" ("The old guy'll try his best") LOL After a few song, he went back to I Love You I Need You after all, and it was the last song.
Cuz i stood right next to the exit door, i had to go out soon and couldn't shake hands with Marutan and the guys ( oh i could do that at Misoji, at least), not to mention that i was quite worried about the snow, so i was only able to catch a glimpse of Marutan in the end before going (btw, Hidenori san came too!). It's fine. I was really enjoyed the live, and glad i could found the place before giving up. Marutan was a true angel. My passion over Nicodou people, thanks to work and stuffs, is not as great as before, but i still really love his voice as well as his personality, and glad to be his fan. まるたんお疲れさん、大好き。Hope i can go to his live once more time, although it's really hard -_-
Bonus: a photo of my printed ticket (wrinkled during my long journey to find the place), and a guitar pick i got from Hidenori san (or Ryu san, not sure) at Misoji Anniversary last time:
Ah and btw i finally found the last 2 volumes of Hana no Mizo Shiru XD (No more a fujyoushi, but i still really love Takarai san's art):
That's it. Nothing like a report, but thanks a lot for reading :))
