I don't know if it's ye olde Christmas mood, but my current LSS obsession playlist features tinkly, gently rocking and pleasant early to mid-90s "alt" standards, as in:
Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House
What I Am - Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians
Here's Where The Story Ends - The Sundays
Cruel to be Kind - Letters to Cleo
I Touch Myself - The Divinyls
(This core group is leavened by 80s staples like Tempted (Squeeze), Come on Eileen (Dexys Midnight Runners), Just Like Heaven (The Cure), 99 Red Balloons (Nena) and one recent song to round it all off, Float On (Modest Mouse).
And then inexplicably I end the list with "Patron Tequila" and Lady Gaga's sleazy carol, "Christmas Tree" (Light me up put me on top, falalalala-lalalala, the only place you wanna be is underneath my Christmas tree). Nostalgia and sleaze - sounds like the holidays to me!

Just added Cobra Starship's "Hot Mess" to the sleaze end of the list. Fabulous!
