I was called with news that I am doing a different character at rehearsal Sunday-I love the character and it's cool role, but I'm soooooooooooo nervous! Send the good vibes!

What are some Irish movies good to watch for stero-typical working class dialect.

What's the character? North/south? Urban/rural?

That's the dumb thing--since it's a silly quirky show, the directors just want crazy stero typical, with as much of an Irish working class mixed in (as much as can be audible for a lazy eared American audience)

Then I'd probably go with something like "Waking Ned Devine" or the TV series "Ballykissangel." Most of the best movies of late ("The Boxer," "In the Name of the Father," etc.) are set in the urban North; the accent is probably too idiosyncratic for your purposes.

I always ignore her attempts at Irish. I couldn't even finish Mary Reilly. Ugh.
