my stomach is not happy...
...though I seem to have been affected the least out of the 5 or so people in my class who have caught this virus going around. It feels like my stomach is having contractions every few minutes.
I got the best night of sleep last night that I think I have gotten on a weekenight so far. I figured out my lesson plan then was in bed at 10, and I read Cold Mountain for an hour. I got at least 8 hours of sleep. I guess I was feeling fairly confident about my lesson plan today, so I wasn't stressing so much over it as I usually do.
Today in my lesson, I started out teaching about phrases using the word day (the other day, these days) and I didn't get past that in 40 minutes. I had a whole other page of stuff that I didn't even get to. I got some good feedback, but I'm wondering how David liked the lesson. This will be my first feedback from him.
Tonight I have to work on my Learner Profile, which I won't be able to do until Thursday night because Mirek is in Brussels until Thursday or so. I am feeling a little more confident about it because I just found some good material on pronunciation, reading comprehension, and business English stuff, which I think will be useful to him.
This morning, after we did a group session about our Materials Assignments, we all realized just how much work we have that is due next week and how little time we have left. Learner Profile Monday, Teaching Practice Logs Tuesday, Materials Assignment Wednesday, Language Exam Thursday, and Moderation on Friday and Saturday. I will be drinking lots of pivo and getting pissed with my mates next weekend.

I talked to Christof over the weekend and I have plans to visit him August 19-25!
