1. How long have you been here? Nearly two and a half years. 2. What skills do you bring to your organization? Leadership experience and determination. 3. If you were a color, what color would you be, and why? This is a very silly question, Rube. But blue, probably. Makes me think of the sea. 4. How many inmates have you had? Two. 5. Describe your average day aboard the Barge. I wake, set about my morning rituals before breakfast, and I might do some reading before lunch. Lately I've been spending my afternoons in the gymnasium, or swimming. Then there's dinner and whatever comes after. Emergencies and the odd meeting come as they come, and my day changes based on that. I do my best to keep in contact with my Inmate. 6. How many of your inmates have graduated? Neither. 7. Do you believe in the existence of a deity? I'm not sure. But I'm open to the idea. 8. How many of your inmates have disappeared without graduating? One. 9. What was your initial reaction upon reading your inmate’s file? I was a little defensive, maybe angry, but I feel like I got over that quickly enough. 10. What are your hobbies? I like to read, but I love the water, and being active, too. 11. In one word, how would you describe your inmate? Consistent. 12. What is the most important rule to follow, as a warden? You have to want to do some good. 13. What is your ideal holiday destination? I'm open for anything, really, but lots of open air and sunshine helps. 14. What is the worst moment you’ve experienced aboard the Barge? I don't know. 15. What is the best moment you’ve experienced aboard the Barge? I don't know. 16. Do you achieve a sense of satisfaction from this job? Most times. 17. How many times have you died? Four times. 18. If you were an animal, what animal would you be, and why? I really couldn't tell you. 19. Do you feel that you know your fellow wardens well? Not as well as I'd like to. Not as much as I used to. 20. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wish I could act without second-guessing myself so much. I used to have that. 21. If you could change one thing about your inmate, what would it be? I wish he wouldn't blame himself so much for things that can't be changed and couldn't be helped in the first place. 22.
