Warden Self-Evaluation Form

Name: Dr. Temperance Brennan of the Jeffersonian Institute
Inmate's Name: Dr. Regalia Mason (former)

1. How long have you been here? 1 month, tomorrow.

2. What skills do you bring to your organization? If "organization" refers to the Jeffersonian, I have a doctorate in forensic anthropology, a genius-level I.Q., extensive training and years of experience both in the lab and in the field, firearms training, and a good working relationship with the FBI. If, on the other hand, "organization" refers to this establishment, I can't say I have any qualifications to work here.

3. If you were a color, what color would you be, and why? I'm not a color.

4. How many inmates have you had? One.

5. Describe your average day aboard the Barge. I usually wake up at 6:30am - 7am on Saturdays - and have coffee and eggs for breakfast. I spend a few hours in the library reading or doing research, and sometimes I work on the book I'm supposed to be writing. I most often have lunch at approximately 12:30, after which I'll go to the gym or back to my room. I generally have dinner some time between 6 and 7, and go to bed around 11.

6. How many of your inmates have graduated? None.

7. Do you believe in the existence of a deity? Explain. No. There's absolutely no empirical evidence supporting the existence of any deity. All of them are pure myth.

8. How many of your inmates have disappeared without graduating? One: Dr. Mason.

9. What was your initial reaction upon reading your inmate’s file? That it was pure science fiction.

10. What are your hobbies? I most enjoy sorting through human remains and determining identity and cause of death, though I find ancient remains to be the most exciting. I can't really do that here.

11. In one word, how would you describe your inmate? I don't have one.

12. What is the most important rule to follow, as a warden? Get a good night's sleep.

13. What is your ideal holiday destination? Guatemala. There are still countless unidentified remains that need sorting through, and more people are being killed every day.

14. What is the worst moment you’ve experienced aboard the Barge? Arriving.

15. What is the best moment you’ve experienced aboard the Barge? Sometimes the body can release unusually high concentrations of adrenocorticotropin before it's ready to wake up, causing one to come out of Stage 3 or 4 sleep, rather than REM sleep. This can cause disorientation, and on the one or two occasions on which this has happened to me, I've found the resulting moment of thinking I'm back at home quite pleasant.

16. Do you achieve a sense of satisfaction from this job? No.

17. How many times have you died? None.

18. If you were an animal, what animal would you be, and why? I'm not an animal any more than I am a color.

19. Do you feel that you know your fellow wardens well? No, not really.

20. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Nothing. I was born this way and to change anything would be assuming that I can do better than millenia of evolution.

21. If you could change one thing about your inmate, what would it be? I don't currently have one.

22. How do you feel? I'm not certain what the question refers to.

Multiple Choice Questions:

1. Your inmate has created a weapon. Do you:
a. Allow them to keep it.
b. Confiscate the weapon without comment.
c. Confiscate the weapon and assign punishment.

That would depend on the weapon, who the inmate was, how the weapon was created, and various other factors.

2. Of the choices, which would you prefer for your employment?
a. Lifeguard
b. Law enforcement
c. Computer Technician
d. Sanitation Worker

I'd prefer to be a forensic anthropologist, but if I had to choose between those I'd pick law enforcement.

3. If you could have one of the following historical figures for an inmate, which would you choose, based on their likelihood for redemption? Please research your answer.
a. John Wilkes Booth
b. Rasputin
c. Jeffrey Dahmer
d. Judas

Rate the following on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being “Poor” and 10 being “Excellent”.

1. Your inmate’s behavior. 9, when she was speaking with me. I don't know what she did when I wasn't around.
2. Your effectiveness as a warden. 5 or 6 5.5
3. Your inmate’s hygiene and cleanliness. From appearances, 10
4. Your hygiene and cleanliness. 10
5. The quality of the food. 5
6. Your communication with your fellow wardens. 4
7. Your communication with your inmate. 6

Why are you here? I don't know. The last thing I remember before waking up here is a colleague of mine knocking over a tray.
