I've done substitute teaching and many of the classes seem like kids from hell. I did this when my Daddy was alive and his suggestion was to bring duct tape. I think I needed it.

Second through fourth grade seems to be the "sweet spot" for subs because the children are used to being students at that time, but they usually still want their teacher to think they are good, so they usually behave. Those grades and either the special ed kids or the advanced kids for any grade.

I never got the mixing milk with food thing. I know that in Louisiana, cornbread and milk is a thing, so I understood that one. The one I never understood is that students would mix the milk with the tacos that were served. They'd chop of the taco and taco meat in the tray and mix milk with it and eat it. It was already gross cafeteria food and then they did that. I don't understand.

I definitely don't understand how milk gets mixed with EVERYTHING. Also, hot sauce gets puts on EVERTHING. Sometimes, mixed with the milk too;)

Blech. Although, being I live in Lake Charles, Louisiana (southwest), Tabasco is a thing here! We didn't have it in the cafeteria, though.
