On the hundredth day of school I used to wear a bright red cape with 1-0-0 written on my shirt in duct tape. My class would count out 100 Cheerios and then ten kids would take off their shoes and count their toes. I suppose this was a time when I felt like a real superhero. ..I just didn’t know

I'm sorry he fell through the crack. I like your interpretation of the topic! I also liked that you didn't stretch it out farther than it needed to go. You may be aware of the six word short story attributed to Hemingway -- "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."

I agree, although he has fallen out of favor, which is too bad. His short stories are outstanding.
