LJ Idol Week 4: “Nobody can ride your back if your back's not bent.”

Apr 06, 2014 12:48

Clyde the camel carried too many humps. Two was too many yet he had three. Humongous and hairy, it was all you could see. What an oddity, a monstrosity, a civil sinsity.

See, one hump was plenty. It meant normalcy. It meant superiority. Supreme and superb, it gave license to disturb all others that were different and treat them like an irritant.

To have two humps was terrible, tacky, and bad. But three? Three just made everyone mad. Including Carmella, Calvin, and Chad. They clucked a clunk of muck from their mouths, called Clyde a chump and thumped all three of his humps.

Clyde tried to let it slide.

But then Carmella, Calvin, and Chad jumped on Clyde’s humps and took him for a ride. They cheered and jeered as Clyde struggled with his stride. Three camels were heavy, even if they only had one hump and each step Clyde took made him wheeze, heeze, and harrumph.

Life was getting tough.

Then it clicked. Clyde started to get ticked and he tocked. And he rocked. And he knocked Carmella, Calvin, and Chad right off.
