SIGNAL BOOST: As buttercup22 called it "the sickest hoax ever"
But I might call it the latest in hoaxes vying for the sickest hoax ever.
Anyone who was taken in by this hoax should feel a lot of things. Outrage, a little sick to the stomach, shock; but what they should not feel is any shame or feelings of being a sucker. Any one of us can get taken in by a story we feel passionate about. Any. One. Of. Us.
These are formed to play on the emotions of good people, usually with the goal of eventually trying to extract money from said people or from someone in particular. I'm glad this one was exposed before any "funds" were created for his treatment or any llamas had to be involved ( the most spectacular and long running hoax ever)
Hoaxes can be very elaborate and very long running. I now just no longer believe 99.99% of what I read on the internet.
