Holiday Meme (Love, Actually)
Just finished watching Love Actually, which I just realized is one of the best Christmas movies ever! I was seriously crying because of how beautiful and true it was! Christmas is really the time of year where everyone can forget their differences and love one another. It's a time to be honest and express your true feelings. It's when people are most giving and generous and kind towards one another, and although it would be nice if the world were like that all the time, it's nice to have such goodwill every December.
I wish I could find a clip from the movie that I like, but everything on youtube are music videos. My favorite stories are Natalie/David and Aurelia/Jamie. I love Natalie because she's such a real woman - she's honest and beautiful and imperfect, and it's her imperfections and quirks that make David fall for her. Plus, I just LOVE how David knocks on 100 doors before finding her house - and he doesn't give up, he just goes along knocking on every house until he finds hers! I'll marry the first guy who does something like that for me! :P

Click to viewI also love Jamie/Aurelia, but I think I would love ANY pairing to do with Colin Firth, basically because he plays the characters that are pretty much my dream men. However, I love how they fall in love, despite knowing NOTHING of each other and not even being able to communicate. I guess, sometimes, the mere presence of someone can cause you to fall in love. I also ADORE how they're thinking and saying the same thing, and yet neither of them know it, and how they learn each other's language, even though neither of them know if they'll ever see the other again. It's just such a sweet vignette of love at first sight. Almost convinces me that it exists.
