OVERALL:
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I wrote a lot this year actually, but I never really posted any of it. I did meet my goals considering I did start university and it was a busy year and I had predicted I wouldn't write that much anyways haha. But I think 2013 was more of a year for new ideas and WIPs than anything.
Did you take any writing risks this year?
Not really, well unless you count the fact that I started using swear words in my fics, and went beyond assumed sex scenes to stuff that's more implicit (doesn't go further than that though). Otherwise, no big risks in terms of new ships, or difficult plots really.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Biggest writing goal would be to get this crack OT5 fic posted because I feel like I broken enough hearts with the only exception that everyone deserves something nicer, lighter, more easier to read lol. Aside from that, maybe post my current WIPs, and write a lot more Sulli centric fics ^^
BEST AND WORST:
My best story of this year:
I think, by any margin, like we never had a chance is my favourite fic by me this year, not only because of the themes, but because it was inspired by stuff I read and learned about in school and it makes me feel good that I pay attention in class and use the knowledge lol. But in all seriousness, the whole concept really suited me, and everyone knows I love writing fics about historical times (world wars/stock market crash in this case). Also my first kailli fic so it holds a special place in my heart ♥
My most popular story of this year:
By far the only exception which is actually really surprising to me because I never thought it would be that liked (hated tbh)?? Considering that on LJ and AFF I get the most comments and the longest comments for this fic (comments that are honestly 50% sobbing mess, 40% death threats, and 10% coherent words lmao) and i guess it's a deserving for this fic because I've been plotting it for two years now and it made me realize how much I love writing OT5.
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
OMG there comes the soft rain hands down!!! I mean, it's one of the fics I was most proud of when I posted it, but I made the mistake of posting it on the same day as two steps from hell, and I guess kaistal/sekai is more attractive than tragicly beautiful kailli because it barely got noticed, which is really sad because it was also my first time writing Jiyoung and I was so satisfied with all the dynamics, and psychological issues, and sjdlfjaoip IT DESERVES MORE LOVE.
Most fun story to write:
Overall: HMMMMM I'm going to say a dancing queen for this, and I don't think it's because it's short or anything, but because there's so much plot in so little words, it's idol life and it's the only fluff I wrote this year. Really close tie between this, don't walk against the wind and we are a secret, can't be exposed because again it's idol life and I dunno I just really enjoy imagining BTS idols so these were really fun to write.
Scenes: For parts of fics, I really really loved writing all the sekai and ot12 parts in two steps from hell omg (note to self: write more), but another top contender has to be that scene in the only exception where kaistal get drunk and he kisses her for the first time (this mostly because it gave me a lot of butterflies).
Story with the single sexiest moment:
Admittedly, the story with the sexiest moment is the only exception? But I haven't posted the part with the rated scene yet and it's actually really steamy lol. From fics I've posted this year, I'm gonna say it's a tie between the kailli almost car/elevator sex (and Sehun ruining the mood) from there comes the soft rain and that almost kiss scene in somewhere beyond us where Kai pushes Krystal to a wall and runs his fingers over her arms (that was really sexy to me lol).
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
Hmm, I'm gonna say like we never had a chance, for Kai that is. I've written a lot of facets of Taemin and Sulli, and even though this wasn't my first go at writing Kai, it was my first time really focusing on his character development, and at that time he was just the extra, but by the end he was my new bias lmao AND LOOK AT WHERE WE ARE NOW OTL Also really started loving Sehun more when I first wrote him @__@ Sehun is the best. Everyone should write him.
Hardest story to write:
Gonna go with the only exception because I really didn't expect such a big response to it U___U And so after a few parts I realized I had readers from every corner of fandom (people reading for sestal, others for kaistal, others for sustal (??why??), some for taelli, etc, etc) so I suddenly felt like I needed to come up with something really good for the end, and I wanted to put more effort into writing it all (thus fic with most typos), so yeah, it's hard to write in the sense that I'm always afraid of how people will receive it. Side note, a time for letting go was tough to write in the sense that I actually searched up a lot of the concepts and had to make it realistic WHICH IS HARD.
Biggest disappointment:
OMG I think a little bit of everything? Like there are little parts of every fic I wish I had done better, but the biggest one has to be, hands down, somewhere beyond us because I really wanted to add more stuff about magic but limited knowledge yknow and too lazy to search lol. That and two steps from hell was kind of disappointing because I felt like the plot was rushed at the end.
Biggest surprise:
None really.... Kinda surprised people still read my blasphemous writing tbh. Actually biggest surprise is that I'm still a sadist in 2013 and I need to become fluffy and kind this year.
Most unintentionally telling story:
I don't know if anyone noticed this but how I insert the word brat in literally almost every fic............... IDK IF ANYONE NOTICED THIS. Okay well even if the word is not there, THERE IS ALWAYS A BRAT IN MY FICS. Well that brat character is always me basically.

He silently gives up, letting Jinri become the only whisper against his lips that night, and when he wakes up the next morning, arms around her, holding her bare body close to his, his heart breaks a little because he wishes her hair was longer, her body more petite, her name Soojung.

He's about to smile, to whisper something soft in her ear when he finally notices the little child pulling at the hem of her coat, staring up at the both of them anxiously, and Sehun doesn't even have to ask because he can clearly see Jongin in the child's eyes.

Between having lustful sex in the changing rooms, and listening to all her secrets at night, Sehun kind of forgets to tell Soojung he's the one who uploaded the video of her tripping on the runway and ruined her career.
kai/krystal (25 lives au)
She confirms that night that indeed hospital life is too sad and that along with the boy in the ER, a part of her heart dies too.
taemin/sulli
She looks at people and instead of faces, chiselled features, apparent flaws, she sees death, vivid visions of how, when, where. And it doesn't matter really, she doesn't even care until she stumbles into Taemin and stares into his eyes, into his soul, counts a few months and sees herself killing him.

She kind of likes it, the feeling of having a man in her life who doesn't look at her in need of love or lustful sex or anything romantic, but a friend who side-eyes her in the morning and asks her how she could possibly have gotten uglier since yesterday.
sulli centric (sequel to la vita è bella)
"I'm going to plead guilty," she tells Jongin one night. "And you're not going to act as my lawyer, or the man who kissed me two days ago, but you're going to do what's right and lose this case."
There's more in my folder but I'll just stop here because then I'll want to go on forever. Other than those, I am hoping to try out new ships, Chanyeol/Jiyeon being one of the ones I want to write soon, Luna with Chen/D.O/Baekhyun another, and a few other f(x)/EXO ships and EXO/SNSD ships.
