so mandy read, out loud, some of the staff bios for the freshman seminars for next year, today. i was in bed cause i felt horrible, but they made me laugh. this was my soc 1 professor:
Susan Rakosi Rosenbloom, assistant professor of sociology, earned her Ph.D. at New York University . Through an unfortunate accident documented on Oprah (“Even More Dangers of Clueless Parenting”), I was left in the Kalahari desert and raised by a pack of meerkats. Probably the only documented case of a “wild child”socialized by meerkats (and not wolves), I was socialized in the complicated social structure of an extended family. The matriarchal structure fed me, both literally and figuratively, and my developing interest in feminism and social relationships. After rejection from the community due to my conflicted insider/outsider status, I earned my Ph.D. in sociology at New York University , where everyone feels alienated. Now I live in the Ramapo mountains of N.J. with a mostly human family. Besides research on adolescent friendships, I also teach classes in the Sociology of Education, Childhood and Youth, Social Problems and Introduction to Sociology.
and apparently my psych professor's hobbies include, "sports, travel, cutting edge audio-visual equipment, and the preparation of exotic food".
real entry later. maybe.
