this weekend was brought to you by the internet.
So I'm going to start this post before I forget about my weekend. Cause it was a busy one. I think I left off after Friday when I went to dinner with Chris. We [Me, Mandy, James, and Tristan(from the internet)]. played Apples to Apples and drank some things. It was fabulous fun. I haven't played Apples to Apples since being in Cabin 14. James won with 10 cards, but I got a pretty fair 6ish.
Saturday we all slept in late. Then I got up and played Maple Story for about 15 minutes with Tristan cause Mandy and James were still asleep. Then my friend Jess called me and asked if I wanted to make a diner run with her, cause she was just getting out of the hospital. After meeting her and finding out how she ended up there this morning, we got some lunch at the diner. My Mediterranean Panini was a little disappointing as it seemed to have been marinated in olive juice. And while I love olives, it was a bit much. Then we stopped off at CVS, but by the time we left, Jess' percocet was starting to wear off. So we came back and I dropped her off at her dorm. Then about an hour later I go to meet Chris for dinner. But I wasn't actually hungry after lunch, so I kind of just had a smoothie. And I had to keep reading back the ingredients on the menu to the smoothie guy so he could make my smoothie. It was interesting. It tasted like what I ordered at least. Then we hightailed it to the Playwrights Theatre so that Chris could get a ticket for the Vagina Monologues which Mandy was in. And I met Walter( Mandy's friend from High School) cause I had his ticket. It was amazing. I had never seen it before (aside from the parts Mandy had rehearsed in the room. i've almost memorized those). And Mandy was fabulous. So then we went off on an adventure to find the Broadway Diner, courtesy of my GPS on my phone. It was great, except for the few times it forgot we were on a road. I had a waffle. Then we came back here for a bit. Then Mandy and Tristan went on an adventure and James and I stayed here. We said hi awkwardly a few times, cause that's what we do. Then we started chatting. And I started asking him random questions. And then I found lists of random questions online to ask him. And he kept answering. And then we watched some Mystery Science Theatre 3000, which I had never seen. Then I made him watch parts of History of the World Part 1, that he'd never seen. Then hours later, Chris called me on Mandy's cell phone and invited us to TOE. So we walked all the way to TOE at like 12:30am. And we had a party. And I took pictures. Then we brought Chris and everyone who was staying in our room back to our room for some Jello Pie. Then Chrissy stopped by. And then by 2:30am, everyone was gone. We got some sleep eventually.
Today we woke up on the early side. As in 11am? We all cuddled in Mandy's bed. Then Tristan put off leaving forever. I went to Brunch with Jess and her friend Heather. We chatted about Raymond again. Then came back here and didn't do work for awhile. Then I did try to do work. And then I baked brownies for TOE. Then Jess asked if I'd go to the snack bar for dinner, but Mandy and I already had plans for real food, so I went and had some naked juice with her. Then I came back here, and it had started to snow a bit, so we decided to leave then and get real food. So we trekked to the main lot to my car and headed out. I put off getting gas on the way there for like the 4th day in a row. And I had to parallel park on the street. So we get there and we decided on Sushi, so we got 2 sushi dinners and shared. Amazing. And then we got Tempura Ice Cream again. Cause that's what we do. And I took a picture. I haven't uploaded them yet, so there shall have to be a picture post tomorrow. So we get in my car and at some point I decide it's a great idea to open the window to make the snow go away. And then it lands on my leg. As Mandy stated at the time, that was a bad life decision, which it was, but at least it made us laugh. Then the gas light goes on (don't worry, the story ends happily). So we stop at a gas station. And we watched the snow. Then we came back and pretended to do work for awhile. And then we actually did a few hours of hardcore work, and then we took a tea and biscuit break at 11:30pm, and it hasn't actually stopped yet. I tried Lady Grey tonight, but I think I may actually prefer my PG Tips over it.
