Emma awoke to the sound of a clap of thunder that started her heart thumping. It was way too early. She tried to ignore it but she couldn't and so she peeked through the curtains to see rain pouring down. How annoying! She and Henry wouldn't be going to the beach for a picnic lunch which really made her upset. Sighing, she wondered if instead they could go to Granny's for some cinnamon hot chocolate. Did she have an umbrella? She rummaged through her closet and found a strange book. Opening it, she was stunned to see pictures of her mother and father, back when the second curse first brought them back home. They looked completely astounded and undeniably confused. She wondered if they had forgotten about her at all. She closed the book, unable to deal with her emotions. She wiped at a tear and searched for the umbrella thinking that it would be right where she left it. Instead she only found a pair of glasses she had never seen before. Picking them up, she put them on. "Aren't these strange?" Emma thinks. She looked around the room and was amazed at what she saw as everything was shimmering like a hologram. What on earth was going on? In a panic, she took off the glasses and placed them on the nearest table.
