Hello! Below you will find my review of the season 2 finale "Straight On Till Morning." This is mostly made up of picspams of some moments and my comments, so enjoy!
So we start of on Hook's ship where he is pining for his lost love (Still, the guy pines a lot) and he comes across not only the child his lover left behind but the very thing that will put the crocodile within his grasp. I actually really liked the scenes between Bae and Hook. Would they have really come back for him? We will never know but Hook sounded like it was definitely a thing and I loved the part where he told Bae he could change and Bae was like 'No, you won't.'
Family scene where the Charmings tell Henry/Gold that Neal bit the big one was just a gorgeous scene. Mr. Gold looks so heartbroken (well he was being kind of a bitch last episode, you can tell he's really feeling that pain now.) His faaaace.
These psychotic bitches, I get a real Torchwood vibe from them. Who do they work for? Also I really want to know when was it that they rid the world of magic before. Say, don't you think it's a touch ironic that they used magic (the magic bean) to get away from Team Storybrooke? Obviously that wasn't part of the plan but they were like sod it! *jumps into a wormhole portal thingy that could lead anywhere with who knows what chance there is of return*
Just. This scene. Emma calls Snow and Charming mum and dad and they hug it out and Henry hugs Regina and Emma and Regina combine magic powers and save Storybrooke with the power of looove! It's pretty epic.
So yeah I am not the biggest fan of Rumpelstiltskin/Belle but this scene on the dock was pretty cute. Poor Belle though, she wanted to help, she knows adventure stuffs! But no, shot down cuz her man feels he owes it to his son to retrieve Henry. The question is how much Storybrooke are we going to see now that all the main characters are in other places? The way it's going it's going to be Storybrooke run by Belle, the dwarves and Dr. Whale (I'm kind of okay with that?)
So we end our episode with Neal being alive but surprisingly with Aurora, Mulan and Phillip (Well that's different) And Team Storybrooke headed to Neverland to get Henry back. These are very interesting plot developments! I really can't wait to see what happens next season. LOL I like David's expression in the third picture, it's like 'Hell yeah, adventure!'
So Phillip is just alive again now and perfectly fine? I wanted to see how that happened! I need answers!
Overall I give this finale a solid 8 out of 10, there was room for improvement but I was happy with what we got. I very much look forward to next season!
