20 In 20 Fics

Dec 02, 2012 16:08

It's been a while since I've written, so I thought I'd write fics instead of making icons for this! :D

1. Angry

Gold watched as Emma reunited with Snow and Prince Charming. He watched as Jefferson called out to Grace, and how she ran into her papa's arms. He watched as Henry and Charming hung out, and he watched how Henry slowly warmed up more to Regina. All these lads and lasses were finding their children, their family, but where was Bae? Bae was the reason Gold had created this curse in the first place, and he was the only one who didn't find who he was looking for. Was he disappointed? Yes. Was he jealous? A little. Was he angry? Very.

2. Sad

They were the abandoned children.

Emma bounced from foster home to foster home, knowing full well that she wasn't wanted anywhere.

Every day, Henry returned home from school, knowing full well that his mother was the evil queen and only wanted him for some sick, conniving plan.

Emma often wondered who her parents were. She wondered, how could they leave a baby on the side of the road? How could they care so little about their own child?

"Why would anyone ever give me away?" Henry often asked. "Why would anyone ever give me to Regina Mills?"

They felt abandoned. They felt alone. And sadness always took over them like a disease.

3. Silly

Ruby suggested a girl's night out, but Belle was more of a girl's night in type of gal. "Sleepover at my place?" Belle suggested.

"A sleepover in a library?" Ruby giggled. "That's new for me."

"Not in the library," Belle jokingly nudged Ruby. "Above the library."

"All right," Ruby replied. "Just as long as Rumplestiltskin won't be there." She winked.

"No, he won't be," Belle laughed.

"Hey, Belle." The girls turned to see Gold standing in the doorway of Granny's diner. "Did you still want to get that hamburger?"

"Not tonight," Belle answered, and she turned to look at Ruby who was struggling to hold in her laughter.

4. Celebration

On Henry's birthday, Regina stopped by the Gingerbread House Bakery to pick up his cake: funfetti with chocolate peanut butter frosting. And eight candles to top it off this year. Then she stopped by Gold's Pawn shop to pick up a new toy. She chose a superman action figure, because she knew how much he liked his superheroes. "I really hope Henry likes his new toy. Please tell him happy birthday from me," Gold said.

"Certainly," Regina paused, and then she walked out to return home. That night, they celebrated Henry's special day. Henry unwrapped his gift, they ate the cake, and, as requested, Regina passed on Gold's message.

5. Love

For someone produced from true love, Emma Swan wasn't a very loving person. Or so she thought. After being passed from foster family to foster family, after being left by the father of her baby, after losing every person she ever cared for, Emma felt like she was incapable of love. But then, on her twenty eighth birthday, she was reunited with the boy who would prove to her that, alas, Emma Swan was capable of love. In fact, she was more capable of love than the average person, being the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming and all.

6. Crossover

Juliet didn't know what to do with herself when Romeo was banished, so she went to the Dark One for Help. "What you need, Dearie, is simple," Rumplestiltskin said. "Magic!" And he conjured up a potion that would put Juliet into a death like coma for forty eight hours. He would notify Romeo, and he'd join her when she awakened. "But all magic comes with a price," Rumplestiltskin giggled.

"What price must I pay?" Juliet asked, and Rumplestiltskin yanked out a strand of her hair.

She yelped. "What use is my hair to you?"

"No more than it is to you now." And with that, he handed her the potion.

7. Villain

The weeks after his papa became the dark one were difficult for Bae. He watched as his dad became a villain, killing innocent villagers and using magic for his personal gain. This wasn't the papa that he knew. When Bae was growing up, his papa was always his hero. But as Rumplestiltskin continued to use magic, Baelfire had second thoughts about his father's goodness from before. Before, his father was just the same old person, except he couldn't rely on magic, and thus, he wasn't as powerful. Magic was power, and now that Rumplestiltskin had that power, his evil ways were just all that more prominent.

8. Black and White

Victor Frankenstein's black and white world was a land of science. It was a land without magic--well, at least until he brought the magic. After he transported the enchanted heart and brought his brother back to life, things slowly began to change. The grey buds in his garden blossomed to stark red roses. The leaves slowly began to change colour, and now they were green. The sky was no longer filled with dust and grey smoke. The sun shined a little bit brighter. A little bit of magic went a long way, and his world was now changing.

9. Hero

Heroism ran in the family. After the curse broke and Emma and Snow fell into the hat, Charming became the town's hero as he mined for fairy dust and did everything in his power to bring back his daughter and his wife. Henry accepted this, and was excited about this, even though he was so used to Emma, his biological mother, being the hero, the savior. And now it was Henry's turn to be the hero, as he searched for Sleeping Beauty in the other world he traveled to in his sleep, and he was proud to continue the family tradition.

10. Team

The seven dwarves lived together in a cottage in the woods. They were more than just the sum of their parts. They were a team. They were a family. Every day they worked together in the mines. When one dwarf was in trouble, they all pitched in to help. When one dwarf was prosperous, they all shared in the riches. Their job could not be finished by just one dwarf alone. All seven of the dwarves had to work together. They said that dwarves didn't fall in love, but they all sure loved each other.

11. Charming/Emma (Because it's just so exciting!)

"Emma!" Henry exclaimed when Emma returned from the Enchanted Forest, and he opened his arms wide and hugged her. Close behind him was Prince Charming.

"Emma!" he exclaimed just as excitedly as Henry and pulled her into a hug after Henry backed off. Emma stood there, motionless. Charming backed up a little to look at his daughter. "I missed you," Charming said.

"And... I missed you, too," Emma said awkwardly.

"Come on, I'll get you dinner," Charming offered, unable to wipe the smile off his face. "A daddy daughter date!"

"Not tonight," Emma sighed. "I'm really tired from, you know, fighting ogres and Cora, and, the usual." She backed away.

12. Charming/Snow

"This is new for her. It's going to take some time for her to get used to us being her parents. How long were we even gone? She's still not used to me being her mother, and we were together all that time... It's going to take some time," Snow assured her husband.

"I just feel so rejected," Charming sighed. "Henry accepted me with loving arms."

"But she's not Henry. Henry knew who you were all this time, but Emma didn't. You told me before to give it time, and now I'm telling you the same thing." Charming nodded at his wife who was using his own advice against him.

13. Charming/Henry

Charming loved to spend time with his grandson. After all, all he ever wanted was a son. When he first laid eyes on his daughter, he knew she was perfection, but he missed out on her entire childhood, and here Henry was, in desperate need of a responsible parent and Charming was right there to step in.

"Hey, Gramps!" Henry exclaimed every day he came home from school after Snow and Emma returned home. Henry was always so excited to see him. Henry was so accepting of the fact that they were family, and Chaming excitedly accepted that love.

14. Charming/Rumple

Charming wanted to buy a gift for his daughter's birthday, so he visited Mr. Gold's pawn shop. "What can I do for you today, Dearie?"

"It's Emma's birthday, and I want to buy her a gift."

"Her twenty-ninth birthday? But the first birthday you get to spend with her, is that correct?"

"Actually, the second birthday," Charming smirked.

Rumple paused. "How precious to be reunited with your child," he said. "But I'm afraid I can't help you on the gift front."

"I have the money, I can pay you," Charming said.

"But I don't need money," Rumple said. "I need your help. I need your help to find my son."

15. Charming/Regina

"You made a promise to Henry!" Charming yelled. "And now you used magic, again?"

"I couldn't help myself!" Regina cried, and her tears were real. Charming. "The book was staring at me, asking to be read."

"What book are you talking about?" Charming turned his head to look at Regina's bookshelf.

"This book," Regina said. She opened the cupboard on the other side of the room, and she took out her mother's book of magic. "Here, take it. If I don't have it, I can't do magic." And Charming took it from Regina's hands and walked out of her mansion with it, looking at the disgusting spells filling its pages.

16.

"Where are we? Where are we?" Aurora continuously and annoyingly asked the group.

"Does it matter?" Emma snapped.

"Girls, we're almost there," Snow said patiently. "Rumplestiltskin's jail cell is underground, and there's a hollowed out tree with a staircase down there. Charming and I marked it with our initials."

"Ugh! How typical and cheesy!" Cora thought, but this was precisely the information she needed.

"Can I see the compass?" Aurora tried again. She'd been asking Emma this ever since she found them, but Emma wouldn't relent. She was making it pretty damn difficult for Aurora to bring the compass back to Cora.

17.

Rumple didn't have time to wait for Emma and Mary Margaret to return to Storybrooke. He wanted to find his son, and he wanted to find his son now. He tried to enlist Henry's help because Henry was the only person who could cross the town's line. Henry only had one self, and there was nothing for him to forget, but Regina wouldn't allow it.

"What if he loses his entire memory?" Regina retorted. "Then he'd be walking around with no idea who he is, know idea who anybody is. I think that is far worse than what happened to Sneezy. I saw that eye roll, Rumple!"

18.

"I think it's time you got an upgrade," Rumplestiltskin said one day as Belle was dusting some of his most prized possessions. "You are becoming very knowledgeable around here. You know what you can and can't touch, you know how to treat my belongings with care. Because of this, I think you can move out of the dungeon into one of the empty bedrooms up here."

"This isn't because I'm good at dusting, is it?" Belle smiled.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Rumplestiltskin turned away from the girl and smiled to himself. And that was the day Belle moved into the room next to the library.

19.

"Baelfire? Bae! My boy!" Mr. Gold pulled his son into a hug. But his son didn't hug him back. He backed away.

"Excuse me, but who are you? And who's Bae?" His son had no memory of his fairy tale life.

"I'm your papa," Mr. Gold whispered. "And you're Bae. You're my son."

"I'm nobody's son," Baelfire answered. "I was abandoned, and then found and put into foster care when I was fourteen."

"Your memory has been tampered with!" Mr. Gold assured him. "There's only one thing that can fix it. Magic." But in the back of his head, he thought, "All magic comes with a price."

20.

Emma thought it was strange when a fourteen year old boy, her age, moved in with her foster family, and he had no memory of before he was found on the side of the road with no mom, no dad, and nowhere to go. His story was oddly similar to hers, only he was older and should have remembered. "It's a traumatic event," she heard the adults saying. "It might be amnesia from an accident. But he has no idea where he is, who he is, where he's from." Emma could feel that, even though this was odd, it was the truth.

(in case you couldn't figure it out, the boy is Baelfire)
