"Oh? I did?" Savannah said, now looking down at her paper. "You sure? How do you- oh wait, nevermind." Having actually found a place on her paper where it was spelled correctly, she went back to comparing her diagram to the over there-ish spot in he sky Li had pointed out to her.

Involuntarilly, the blonde's entire body shivered. She groaned. Not only did she hate losing arguments, but she especially hated losing them because of something she did.

Li laughed and took off his robe, draping it over Savannah's shoulders. That would be the chivalrous thing to do, after all, and he supposed that he could live without it since according to her it wasn't too terribly cold out... Well, bugger! It really is bloody cold! What an inconvenient time to be right! So, there he stood behind her, arms folded across his chest and trying to look as non-cold as possible. It wasn't often that he won an argument with Savannah, and it was really too bad that he couldn't enjoy it this time.

"You should really have come more prepared, you know," he remarked somewhat snarkily as he again peered over her shoulder. "I'll have you know right now that you are not borrowing my scarf." The green and grey striped scarf was still wrapped around his neck, doing very little good. Oh, well. It might be cold, but at least it wasn't raining or anything. Or dark - the full moon shone brightly in the clear sky. Li looked up at it and was suddenly reminded that there had been some reason other than the cold for why he ( ... )

Savannah could feel her face blush a bit as Li gave her his robe. 'Thank GOD it is dark.' she thought as she tried to shove the blush off her face. Unsuccessfully, of course. She did feel bad for it though; Li had been the one who was complaining about the cold. However, Savannah was not about to give up a perfectly good chance to be cuddled up warm inside Li's robe. The girl was not that stubborn.

"Oh, like I'd ever want to wear your scarf." Savannah replied sarcastically. "Green is such an unfashionable colour wouldn't you say?" She reluctantly went back to her work for a few minutes before suddenly looking up. A wolf had just let out a rather frightening howl in the distance, and the sudden noise took Savannah by surprise.

Li paused abruptly in his work as his heart felt like it was sinking deep into his stomach. "Werewolves." He could barely manage more than a whisper. So, that was the other reason he hadn't wanted to be outside tonight! Too bad he couldn't remember it until now. His fingers lost their grip on his pen, sending it clattering to the floor, as he brought that hand up and began chewing on his nails. He shivered, and again looked over Savannah's shoulder to see if she was almost done so that they could go inside soon. He hoped that he didn't look too obviously frightened.

At the sound of Li's pen hitting the floor, Savannah looked over. He was a white as a sheet and looked bloody terrified. "Li?"

'Oh, that's right.' Most sane humans were scared of werewolves, and with good reason, but, as Savannah was now remembering, Li was especially scared of them. She now understood part of the reason Li had been so against comming out tonight, even if it was impossible for a werewolf to reach them on the Astronomy tower.

"Li, are you alright?"

"I- I'm okay." He had replied without really thinking, so one could hardly fault him for the obvious lie. At the moment he was putting a little too much concentration into breathing normally to really care about the veracity of his claims to alright-ness. He shivered again, which reminded him both that he was not about to control his fear reaction by shear force of will and that the presence of werewolves had not made it any less cold.

"Savannah?" Li asked when he was sure he could speak again without stuttering or anything wimpy like that. "Would you mind sharing the robe, there?"

Even if Savannah hadn't been Li's best mate, she still would have been able to tell he was lieing just then. She was suddenly struck with an awful sense of guilt. She was the one who had dragged him out there on a full moon when she knew he was so scared of werewolves.

The girl was almost 100% certain that her face had turned almost the same shade as a tomato when Li asked to share the robe. 'Stop it!' she yelled in her head, 'He doesn't like you like that! He's just asking that because he is cold. Quit jumping to unhealthy conclusions!'

"Um, sure, Li." she replied as calmly as she could. "It is your robe afterall."

"Thanks." Li flashed her an empty sort of eyes-only smile as he squeezed his way into what little room was left in the garment. He really didn't realize how transparent it was when he smiled like that, but didn't want her to feel bad or anything.

Wow, but it was warm in there. Not to mention... soft. This had been a bad idea on his part, he could tell that already as he felt his face turn pink. Yet, he didn't want to leave. How was it possible for someone to be so warm and comforting to stand next to when it was so cold out? Li was pretty sure that his own skin was cold to the touch. He glanced over at her face as he thought about this, and suddenly noticed that she was completely pink. It being somehow completely out of the question for him to even suppose that she liked him the way he liked her, he thought she might have a fever or something.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked quietly. "Your face is all red."
