Nadia had browsed around the Great Hall, eyes skimming over the people inside. She didn't see anyone in particular that she usually chatted with, but her gaze did falter on Danny Parker.

She smiled and bounced over, slipping down across from him. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked happily, before frowning slightly. "Not that I haven't just already sat regardless, eh? Anyway, hey!"

She smiled brightly, reaching over to her left for an empty glass, then filling it with juice. "How've you been!?" she asked, grinning. "Enjoy your week off?"

Ugh. Nadia. Another girl who seemed far too bubbly and bright for Danny to handle. He sighed. "I'm perfectly fine," he said. "How are you?"

Her brightness gave him a headache. Truth be told he had been glad to see Hogwarts close, it had meant so many beautiful things could happen -- and now it wasn't closed. He wasn't as happy as he could be.

Well. Alllll right then. Danny didn't seem to loathe her so much before but now he looked quite put off by her. Fickle little thing, wasn't he? She frowned, hating that she was getting this reaction from him. She was trying to be friendly -- after all, wasn't he Danny Parker? Best of the best mates of Pat?

She shrugged, smiled again, and swirled the juice in her glass. "I'm great! Glad to be back, but a little worried by the fact that there are still Aurors running about."

She frowned and gestured to the Auror table, before taking a long sip and giving him a more questioning look. He didn't look so 'perfectly fine', did he?

Good point, Miss Dayton. Danny eyed the Aurors. "Funny they're still here, don't you think? Shouldn't they be off -- oh, I don't know. Doing something useful?" He poked his sandwich and decided that sticking with plain water and nothing else would have to do him for the rest of the day. He'd felt sick ever since breakfast, which had only been eight green grapes.

"Apparently they think they're being useful by looming over us? I dunno. Kinda stupid if you ask me. They should be out gathering up the last of the Death Eaters."

She shrugged, then looked down to his plate as he poked at his sandwich.

"I think it's already dead, love."

"I am not your love," Danny pointed out, "And I am also not hungry, I have decided." He drank some more water and fidgeted. "Did you have a good week off?"

Polite conversation. Always a good choice! He tugged lightly on his hair.

Nadia rolled her eyes. Why the hell was he so touchy? She didn't say, my love. She said love. And to be honest, Nadia loved damn near everyone.

She sighed and shook her head, ignoring the complaint and moving on to answer his question.

"Fabulous week!" she replied, grinning once again. "Pat and his dad came out for dinner early in the week, then hosted us for dinner later in the week. He and Da had a blast flying about, they were positively childish."

She giggled lightly, propping her chin up. "You?"

Danny decided to keep his opinions about Patrick to himself and shrugged. "It was okay. I went home, Remy came to visit my family." He was certainly not going to reveal the details of that visit to this girl -- so he smiled and drank some more water.

Clearing his throat, Danny glanced around. Sigh. Oh, sigh.

Nadia blinked at him as he cleared his throat and sighed. Riiight. Well. He seemed to not mind her so much when they'd hung out before, but now, apparently, he was bored with her.

That was fine, she supposed. She didn't have to make friendly; she just wanted to for Pat.

"Well, that's good," she offered, smiling still. "I meant it before, you two are so gorgeous together." She shrugged, a light laugh coming out of her as she grabbed a half-sandwich and slipped off the bench. "Have fun with that," she noted, gesturing to his own tortured sandwich. "Later!"

With that, she was gone.
