“Ho hum, ho hum…heeey!”
How terribly rude! She wasn’t a bloody ghost, was she?
“Hey, bud, you can’t just walk -through- me! Hey!”
What a jerk!
It was just one of those days. Made sense, didn’t it? Last night was a full moon.
”Oh… full moons.” She remarked enigmatically and exasperated to a passing store display, which was covered in advertisements for Lunascopes and Starmaps.
She’d taken Malachy to St. Mungos this morning after cleaning him up as best as she could. The doctor had told he he’d have to stay at least a couple hours so they could mend some of the more horrific scratches and scrapes, but then he would be free to go. Meanwhile, Lou’d decided to go visit her Mam at Madame Malkins. But it was soooo busy, today of all days.
Well, really, most of Diagon Alley was unusually busy. Lou couldn’t remember it being this populated since long before she started at Hogwarts- on those days when her mother’d take her to the magical Ice Cream shop, or the Magical Menagerie and made her promise not to tell her father.
She stopped to admire the latest broom model in the window at the Magical Sports and Games Shop without really looking at it. She was AWFUL at flying. The only time she’d ever cared to make an effort was during First Year Flying Lessons, but a part of her even then (as she went speeding head-long into the Owlry window) knew that it was a weak, if not valiant effort. And anyways, there were much more important things to be thinking about than flying…
