9. Give us your character's personal history: Andra had an older brother, Drake, up until the summer she was eleven. Late August, after she'd gotten her Hogwarts letter, he'd begun rallying for her to attend. Their parents were very conservative, very wary of a school of Witchcraft, so they naturally weren't excited by the idea in the least. But Drake had thought it to be awesome, so he tried his hardest to get them to let her go. Unfortunately, he was killed in a car accident the night before the Hogwarts Express would be leaving London, and this caused her parents to give her the go-ahead for Hogwarts. She spent her grieving time within those halls, which caused a lot of her outward shyness. Later on, as she discovered more about her brother's past, she learned that he, too, had been a wizard and had attended Hogwarts. Through a long process involving reading his diaries, contacting his best friend (and her ex), and eventually seeing memories in a pensieve, she discovered that he in fact did not die in a car accident, but from a killing curse. This was the jolt that made Andra realize that she wanted to do something to help the cause -- up until then her greatest dreams had been to be a dancer or a Quidditch manager. Now, she thirsts to be on the front lines, seeking what little bit of solace she can find in revenge for her brother. She also feels completely strong and sure in love, as she saw how quickly that ended for Drake.

10. What do you plan for your character in the course of the game?: Andra will be striving to finish her NEWTs with top scores so that she can become an auror, and hopefully -- hoping beyond all hope -- join the Order of the Phoenix. She has an absolute fire in her to make things right in any way she possibly can. She'll also be having a lot of conflict with her parents, who will be wanting her to return to Glasgow after school, despite her own desire to stay in London. There will also be a bit of questioning behind James, her trusted family-friend... Something will be terribly off with him, and she'll start to question his loyalty.

11. Please give us a sample RP. Be sure to keep it at least two paragraphs in length, for this is quite possibly the most important part of your application.

Andra loved this time of day. The moment when the sun began to slip beyond the horizon, leaving nothing but a fading glow in the sky. In the west, red and orange and pink, and in the east the beginnings of dark blue sprinkled with the faintest of stars. When she was a little girl, she'd heard that dawn and dusk were the most magical times of the day; so naturally, she fell in love with the idea. And now, as she sat on the grounds outside Hogwarts, she believed it more than ever.

She knew she shouldn't be out, not now. No one was allowed out after dark anymore. The Aurors stationed around the edge of the grounds had looked to her with a stern glance, nodding toward the setting sun. She knew that she couldn't stay, but she had to watch the sun go down. So much was happening, so many lives were ending -- sometimes she worried that she'd forget what it felt like if she didn't come out every so often. So she sat, knees cradled tight against her chest, until the moment that darkness slipped in and the Aurors forced her to leave.

12. Do you have any last thoughts/comments/questions/concerns/other things you must tell us? Andra is an animagus. Fox form -- she was unregistered until last year, but mostly because she had still had trouble getting it right. She'd had a weird thing about not telling anyone she was trying because she didn't want people to know if she failed. But once she got the transformation successful multiple times, she registered.

Skills
For the following catagory, you have 5 points to divvy out between the skills if your character is a student, and 10 for adults. Each skill starts with a one, one being Have General Understanding, But In No Way Talented. Five is for Expert. No students are allowed to have more than three points in any one skill. Keep in mind that for students, this is on the basis of you not knowing things. If you are not talented at something, it is because you have yet to learn it. If you are an adult, you know it, you just do not have a knack for it. These skills are meant to be age appropriate. So, say a third year has two points in Potions, as does a sixth year, it does not mean they are equally talented. It means the third year is above average for their age group, as is the sixth year. Also keep in mind that if you are not old enough to know it (ie, 1st year would not know Ancient Runes), you don't know it.

Charms - I
Potions - II
Transfigurations - II
Ancient Runes
Care of Magical Creatures
Arithimacy
Divinations
History of Magic

For the Extracurricular Skills, students have 3 points to spend, and adults have 6. Max points on this is, again, 5 per skill. Keep in mind, no students may have more than three points in one skill. Unlike the classroom threads, if you don't have points in it, you don't have the ability.

Flying
Music - I
Dancing - II
Crafts [Think Knitting, Jewelry Making, Scrapbook, Hobbies]
Arts [Think Painting, Drawing, Photography, Fine Arts]
Sports [Think chess, rugby, football, quidditch, etc]
