Petal 6 - Video

[The video comes on to show Aya and Umi sitting back to back. Wrapped around them are wires meant to look like rose vines with long thorns. Along the vines are red and white roses. Both are already bleeding. Aya is the first to stir and look around. His eyes narrow as he glances back to see Umi.] Umi. You need to wake up.

The Rescue!

[Supporting most of Umi's weight, and ignoring all protests about the fact that he was, Aya kept them moving. It was a very slow pace but he couldn't afford to have them sit and wait for help. Ken would understand that and hopefully Umi's friends would too.

Moving down the alley, he headed for the direction that he hoped would lead straight to the hospital.]

[...There were little protests, as it was. Umi herself was too busy doing her best to keep Aya standing, even if somewhere in the back of her mind she understood she wasn't being as much help as she wished to be. It didn't matter. Feeling she was helping him as much as he was helping her kept her going. As did the need to get him to safety soon.]

[Ken was sure they'd hear him coming as his bike wasn't exactly quiet. Still, he breathed a soft sigh of relief when they came into view. Even before the bike settled, he was off of it, already moving to take Umi's weight from Aya and gently move her a little more into the dim light so he could assess her injuries a bit better, already tugging a strip from the bottom of his shirt for a bandage.]

Holy crap, you two. You don't do anything halfway, do you?

[onceaweiss]

[Aya chuckled and went to lean against a wall.]

It would be too easy if we went halfway.

[soulofocean]

[Nevermind her head was feeling lighter and still throbbing from concern, she just had to echo that chuckle as she reluctantly let go of Aya.]

...And this place... it couldn't let us have it EASY, could it. Thank you, Ken...

But I'm... not that bad. Get Aya first.

You've already been outvoted on that. You're smaller and lose blood quicker so you're first.

[Ken's tone brooks no argument as he goes to work with his makeshift bandages, glancing up at Aya every now and again to make sure he was still upright.]

[ A shadow falls over the group just then, and then a sudden breeze as a giant carnivorous animal griffin descends nearby. Clef dismounts even before Ignii has actually landed and immediately dashes to where the three of them are, pigtails waving behind him.

He stops short when he reaches them, not remembering to actually, um. Say anything as he assesses the situation. He glances at Ken, then Umi, then Aya, his entire mind preoccupied with figuring out what the next step is. ]

[wearspants]

[ Presea is just as concerned as Clef, but she doesn't have any healer training, so she manages to wait until Ignii is settled to jump off and follow. She looks over his head, doing some assessing of her own. She sheathes her sword and then - well, she's the talker. ]

To save some time, Umi, this is Presea and Clef. It's one of those weekends.

[ She ducks down a little and looks to Ken, since he seems to be the uninjured person first on-site. ]

How bad is it? Can they be moved?

[onceaweiss]

We are going to have to be moved. Umi especially is losing too much blood.

[And hey, Aya's still standing. He get points for that.]

You two... I didn't-! [She's not going to push her mind further just to wrap it around the thought Clef's a girl and Presea a rather good-looking fellow now, nope. Too busy staying conscious.]

You brought him... [She gazes from where Ken is still tending to her to the huge griffin.] Can he... can he help take Aya to the hospital...?? Ken can---!

[Maybe the two of them would fit up there on Ignii's back, though. That'd make her feel better, not parting from Aya.]

[Ken glances over at the blond newcomer, taking no more than a quick moment to place the names. If Umi trusts them, then they're alright. Nodding, he finishes up with another makeshift bandage before standing and moving towards Aya.]

They can, as long as they're not bounced around a lot. Umi's lost a decent amount of blood thanks to her injuries. They both need to get to the hospital soon.

[ Clef nods, acknowledging both Ken's and Aya's words. ]

Ignii can carry them both, and the flight should be smooth enough. If you come along, [ he looks at Ken as he says this ] we can administer first aid to both of them en route to the hospital.

[ The t-shirt bandages haven't escaped his notice, no.]

I think this would work best if you [ Ken again. Introductions could happen once Umi and Aya were safe and getting real treatment. ] were to carry Umi while Presea and I help Aya.

[ Presea and Ken looked to be about the same size, but Ken had the advantage of being more used to his body and would be less likely to lose his balance or bump into something. Aya was larger and probably heavier than either Ken or Presea but he was still standing - that definitely made a difference. ]

[ Presea nodded at this. She was used to Clef taking charge in situations like these. She was still scared for Umi and Umi's friend, but neither of them were immediately dying, given that he'd remained standing and Umi could still speak. ]

[ She approached the standing figure and looked up at him. ] Here, let me help. Lean on me as much as you like.

[ She was smaller, compared to him, but she'd been pretty strong as a female and she was built fairly well as a male. ]

[Aya just nodded and pushed away from the wall so he could let himself be supported. He was hardly opposed to being helped. Especially right now when he knew he desperately needed the assistance.]

...Thanks, Presea. [Only then does Umi relax enough to let herself be assisted onto Ignii's back too.

She wouldn't have been okay with the idea of getting all the attention and care while Aya just had to keep himself on his feet alone, no matter how strong he is. Now she's slightly less concerned.]
