only a moment to spare

I enjoy keeping up with everyone's life. My dfriends are so wonderful, and I miss you all very much.

We have been so busy. We made an offer on a house yesterday and we'll hear tomorrow. this is house #2. The first one we didn't get, obviously.

It has been a couple of weeks of busy, busy harvest. DDad has been on the combine 10 days straight. And it looks like only the beginning. But anyway, I harvested one day. My mom spent 3 nights in the hospital with dehydration last week, but she is feeling better as I write this. Almost to her busy self already. DSister came home on Sunday and we are enjoying living together again. 7 of us! 5 adults and 2 children. I'm seeing the pros and cons of many people living together. It does add excitment.

DH, DSis and I became the bin cleaning crew for the day. Decked out in our fancy dust masks, brooms and spray bottles, DSis and I swept and prepared bins for the bountiful harvest. DH mowed grass. He seems to have lots of fun on the riding mower. Before we got going though, I reminded him to look out for snakes. Sure enough. He walked right up to one and said "$hit", backed off and then DSis and I freaked out, together. It was a bonding moment. We sat in the back of the pickup while DH tried to figure out what to do. We saw a beautiful sunset. It was simply amazing. Anyway, the snake got away from us and don't tell anyone from around here, but I was just as glad, because I've kind of gotten into the live and let live philosophy.

Stay tuned...tomorrow we find out about the house!
