Finally
WEll, at last I'm all moved in, and getting settled, and have web access again. It's nice to be able to take a breath once in a while.
So, for those that care, here's the whole "moving synopsis:"
We left town on the 19th of JUne, around 11:30 pm, the movers having gotten to the house around 6 pm, much later than we'd hoped. We rolled into my buddy Kevin's house in NC around 10 am. The trip was longer than I thought, due to the severe lack of sleep in the past few days. Well, Barbara had to stop to catnap, and I thought I'd just keep right on going while I still felt good, and she'd meet me at Kevin's. Good plan, right? Wrong. Wrong, because Dave got a severe case of Montezuma's Revenge on the way down. SO, all told, with all the additional stops I had to make, I only wound up being maybe 20 minutes ahead.
Got to hang out with Kevin for a day and a half before continuing down to the great state of Florida and my education.
And so now I'm nearly finished with my first week of school at Full Sail. I really like this place. The goofy hours feel pretty much normal, like the last year or so of my life. Every day this week, I had a class from 9 am until 1 pm, and then last night, I had a lab from 9 pm until 1 am. Everything moves at a pretty fast pace; good for me, because I have the attention span of a chipmunk. Both of my classes right now are pretty lame; they're general ed courses, and you have to take them before you move on to the cooler stuff, like working in the audio labs and such. I did manage to learn ohm's law last night, and a bunch of other stuff.
Anyway, so long for now kids. I miss everybody, and hope you're doing well. Take care!
