Second Case

I must admit, this small town has its charms. Can't say I'm fond of the memory loss - who would be? - but if everyone else has it... Misery always did love company.

To those I haven't met before, my name is Bruce and I'll be the town's new Math teacher. I don't remember if I was ever great at it, persay, but I hope I can be of some use to those ( Read more... )

Research. There's nothing else worth doing.

What have you been researching?

Anything on blastia as far as I've remembered, among other things. Which isn't much, but I know I at least have the basics.

I'm afraid you'll have to enlighten me. I have no idea what "blastia" is.

Simply put, it's a kind of technology with a wide array of uses. Largely for convenience, but definitely useful in battle too.

Ah, so you're into the sciences.

... "Battle?" You needed to fight back in your world?

Yes. I'm a researcher from Aspio, the City of Scholars.

I haven't remembered exactly what there was to fight, but there was definitely fighting.

That's a shame. It didn't seem like there was much fighting in my world, but to think someone so young's out there fighting...

You have my sympathies.

I'm not that young. You don't need to give me your sympathies.

Is the ride enjoyable. Is it. dysprosodia June 6 2010, 06:36:55 UTC
Why? Consider it an early training program. I'm tougher than the average "child."

N-not really? It feels so guiltyyyy. onceaguardian June 6 2010, 18:43:52 UTC
An early training program that isn't necessary. I may not remember my childhood, but I can guess it wasn't filled with fighting routines and training every single moment.

You can't feel guilty, you're Bruce Wayneee. dysprosodia June 6 2010, 19:00:22 UTC
Does it matter? It's not like I was fighting the entire time. I am a researcher.

This guy has enough guilt issues for a whole universe. :|b onceaguardian June 6 2010, 21:56:32 UTC
No... I suppose not, since there doesn't seem like there's much to fight here.

Good, then he can have enough for her universe too. dysprosodia June 6 2010, 22:05:27 UTC
See? So don't linger around that.

What do you do?

I can't remember. Judging from what kind of clothes I owned, however, I was probably some kind of wealthy businessman.
