J's Ofsted inspection ends

May 26, 2004 17:30

J's school's Ofsted inspection has just come to an end and her head has received "interim feedback."

Basically the report is FANTASTIC! They have got full marks for pretty well everything. This in spite of - actually because - their head refuses to kow-tow and do everything she's "supposed" to do. She's child-focussed and the pupils there are doing exceptionally well, considering their social backgrounds and frequent deprivation.

Her head has been asked to speak to a group planning training for headteachers on how to prepare for an Ofsted inspection :-)

Now the school will be able to get on with their work, and ignore any external interference as they see fit.

The final written report is due on the 10th of June, but it should reflect the interim feedback.

Hurray. Two people get their lives back in this household, at least!
