[action] catching him on the way in?talvimyrskynApril 6 2011, 03:34:11 UTC
[ Kirsi is not the biggest fan of technology. But it makes her curious... and draws her near. The Battledome is a source of great intrigue for her. She has yet to go inside, but from her understanding of village chatter, she has a fair idea of its purpose.
Idle curiosity has her moving around outside, an arm raised to her face as she considers the structure. Then she hears an approach from behind, and turns to look, staring at Yuri with those odd eyes of hers. ]
[action] sounds good to me o/once_knightedApril 6 2011, 23:11:59 UTC
[Yuri sees a lot of strange-looking people when he walks into battle dome -- both races he's never seen before, and ... well, people with "interesting" personalities -- but Kirsi is definitely topping the list of "well that's new" right about now. Especially since she's apparently staring at him, from what he can tell.
... Um. Should he say something? Can this person(?) even respond ...? It looks like some doll or something. Heck, if it didn't seem to be staring at him and didn't have wings, he'd just figure some kid dropped it.
... For the moment, he settles into staring back while he tries to figure out what on earth he's looking at right now.]
[action] sob sorry for the latetalvimyrskynApril 16 2011, 00:31:03 UTC
[ Kirsi has mixed feelings about this reaction. She seems to keep getting it, no matter how much time goes by. Sometimes it's exasperating. Sometimes it's amusing.
This time, thankfully, is the latter. Yuri will hear a soft, low laugh in his ear, at the same moment the doll blinks those odd eyes of hers. She'll take a few steps towards him, inclining her head. ]
Hello. Are you headed towards that structure? [ she gestures at the Battledome. ]
[action] haha, it's fine |Donce_knightedApril 16 2011, 01:04:36 UTC
[Hearing that laugh confuses Yuri for a moment, causing him to quickly glance around. But ... yep, it definitely came from this ... wooden person. Especially since it's moving toward him. ... And speaking.
Boy is this weird. Thankfully, while Yuri can be fairly rude, he isn't unless the person gives him reason to be, so he'll just ... keep those thoughts of "what" to himself.]
[action] thank you ;;talvimyrskynApril 16 2011, 01:17:02 UTC
[ Oh, it's alright. She's gotten far stronger reactions than "what" in her time. ]
Have you been inside before? I find myself tempted to venture within, yet I am hesitant. It seems a little too ... advanced for my tastes. [ on the word "advanced," she gestures vaguely -- as vaguely as a doll with no hands can gesture. ]
I go here pretty often. ["Every day" counts as pretty often, doesn't it? Yeah, sure it does. He'll stick by that, then.] It's ... pretty advanced, yeah.
Would you mind, terribly, taking a moment out of your day to introduce a stranger to this place? [ she tilts her head to look at the building once more, the slant of her eyes conveying uncertainty. ] I would vastly prefer not to go in alone. Unless, of course, you are busy?
[ she is as delighted as she sounds. however, she will ask one more thing -- silently. she will hold up her arms in the universal signal of children who want to be picked up by their parents. a ride, if you please. ]
[At that, he visibly hesitates. Not only because this weird wooden doll-person seems to want him to pick her up, but it sort of reminds him of ...
...
... Well, he's certainly not going to let his thoughts stray. Heck, if he weren't in such a weird mood to start with, they probably wouldn't have strayed in that direction at all, but--
... Regardless. After a moment of staring blankly in response, he moves his hand to his hip, letting out a sigh.]
I have to carry you around for this too, huh ...?
[... Well, whatever. It's ... weird, but he already said he was going to show her around. So, he'll move closer and carefully lift her.]
Well, it is not strictly necessary. [ however, a pleased little chirp escapes her when he lifts her up. she does so love being carried ... even if he did show a certain hesitance. hm. ] I simply enjoy it. You humans provide some wonderful vantage points. [ ... it's a joke!
anyway, however he chooses to hold her, she'll settle quite comfortably, having rather gotten the hang of her human chariots. ] But if you truly do not wish to carry me, I can walk. It would be quite slow, however. The coming of Spring is slowly depriving me of my powers.
[He almost moves to hold her the way a parent would hold an infant, but ... well, that was out of habit, and really awkward for him. Instead, he ends up holding her the way someone would hold a sack of groceries. Sorry about that, Kirsi.]
If that's the case, then I'll just stick to carrying you. [Welp. He'll just be heading for the battle dome's door and getting that open, now.]
